Welcome Aspen/Snowmass!

Ron Schneidermann (Co-Founder and COO) tells it like it is:

At Liftopia we work really, really hard on getting good things up for sale on our website that people (hopefully) want to buy. In fact, inventory acquisition is probably the single most important thing we do as a company. Everything here has always stemmed from our inventory situation – marketing, product development, customer support, even fundraising are all dictated by who we are working with and in what capacity.

Our first season we had a whopping 7 resort partners on board. In the five years since then we’ve grown to just over 150 ski area partners in three different continents. Our newest resort partner is one we have spent years reaching out to, and we could not possibly be more psyched about having them join our site. We’re incredibly excited to announce that Aspen/Snowmass is now live on Liftopia!

We still have a ways to go, but bringing on partners like Aspen/Snowmass is an illustration of us building towards what we know Liftopia can become. We’ve always said that there is no one-size-fits-all pricing or product strategy on Liftopia. What works for Park City  might not work for Alta. What works for Stowe is not going to be the same strategy that works for Attitash.

We spent months working with the folks at Aspen/Snowmass to create a unique product and pricing strategy, and they came back to us with one of the most sophisticated implementations we’ve ever seen. That’s the first and last time I’m going to underestimate them. On Liftopia they are now featuring 15 different products interchangeable at all four of their mountains, focusing on high-value bundles for their destination guests (lift + ski rentals, lift + lunch credit packages, etc). If you haven’t yet checked it out, you can see all of their killer deals here. And If you’ve ever dreamed of skiing Aspen/Snowmass, now is the time to try it out!

I founded Liftopia.com with Evan Reece in 2005. Prior to starting Liftopia, I managed Business Development at Hotwire.com where I focused on building relationships with add-on vacation product vendors and optimizing sales within the Hotwire.com purchase path. I spent four years working out of my dining room to get Liftopia off the ground. I’m a native of Walnut Creek, California and grew up skiing at Heavenly, Soda Springs and Kirkwood.
