The company, which provides variable pricing for ski resorts' lift tickets, has raised $1
million in Series B financing led by Amicus Capital and Erik Blachford, the former chief
executive of Expedia Inc. Valuation was not disclosed.

The San Francisco-based company previously raised an unspecified amount of Series A
financing led by Sand Hill Angels, with participation from Blachford, North Bay Angels
and others.

Founded in 2005, Liftopia bases its variable pricing on factors including the time of year,
time of week and how busy the resort is, just as airlines adjust prices on their tickets. The
company says its service enables consumers to find discounts at resorts.
