More About Buttermilk

Buttermilk is the easiest of the Aspen resorts, which can be a nice break from the intensity of the other resorts. A great learning mountain, Buttermilk has 35% easy runs, 39% intermediate, and 26% advanced. In addition to having great beginner terrain, the resort has a great ski and snowboard school. The mountain caters especially to snowboarders, and freestyle lovers will find a place at Buttermilk, which boasts the world’s longest terrain park. The freestyle terrain has been recognized as ... some of the best in the world. Buttermilk has consistently hosted the Winter X Games since 2002. For the hardest freeride terrain on the mountain, take the Upper Tiehack chairlift to the East summit and ride the Tiehack Parkway to a suitable trail or glade. Overall, Buttermilk is the Aspen center for beginners and freestyle snowboarders. Read more
