More About Aspen Highlands

Of the 4 Aspen Mountains, Aspen Highlands is by far the local favorite. Thirty six percent of the terrain is for experts only, and this terrain is some of the hardest in the country. The new Deep Temerity lift has an array of newly opened double black diamond runs that take you directly to the lift base, making it easy to have purely expert terrain. Cruisers make up a large proportion of the land as well, presenting a nice break ... from some of the harder terrain. If you are willing to hike, you can go up an additional thousand feet to the peek of Highland Bowl, which provides a rush through untracked powder like no other. There are some easy trails, but no fully green circle paths to any of the lifts. If you are in between beginner and intermediate, however, you should have no trouble finding areas you would enjoy.
