Le Massif offers 401 acres of skiable terrain and a vertical drop of 2526ft, the largest difference in altitude ... east of the Canadian Rockies. Locals and visitors alike ski in Charlevoix to enjoy the visual beauty of the Charlevoix region and the neighbouring islands. Flying down the slopes, you have the impression of sliding right into the St. Lawrence, there where the water turns salty, at the gateway to the ocean.
52 dazzling ski trails share the snowy expanse, while undergrowths of varying levels of difficulty ramp up the challenge. There are runs for absolutely everyone, from beginner to expert. In fact, an Olympic-sized training run allows athletes to surpass themselves day after day in preparation for the international competitions that are held there.
Learning to ski or ride is child’s play in the new beginner area, designed to smoothe out the beginner experience for both small and tall trying a slide sport for the first time. Featuring two new trails with low-gradient vertical drop, it sits on 8 acres of land and is serviced by two lifts: a safe, easy to ride conveyor lift for novices, and a second platter-type ski lift.
The New gondola has unleashed a wave of followers – from fans of freshly groomed surfaces, to ones who revere powder covered deeps. And so came about the expansion of Mont à Liguori’s off-piste sector. Challenge and adventure hunters will soon set themselves free on this 745 metre summit-to-base hinterland, and exit by the new gondola’s loading area. The overall area of 99 acres purely dedicated to backcountry riding.
Beyond its exceptional ski area, this impressive mountain offers lodging, restaurants with a distinctive, healthy menu (no fried foods!), an après-ski that is worth the trip, places of learning and entertainment and much, much more. La Base, at the foot of the mountain, and Les Crêtes, at its summit, will provide a departure from the ordinary by their typical environment and multitude of original activities, along with the memorable experiences and atmosphere that will be created there.
