Loon Mountain provides some of the most exciting skiing and riding in New England. South Peak, which opened in 2007, is Loon's ... newest terrain and currently boasts an additional 5... trails, and two lifts, for a total of 65 more acres of skiing and riding.
Loon has a total of five terrain parks. The Park Staff makes sure there's terrain for every ability - from the Burton Progression Park where skiers and snowboarders learn about jumps, hits and rails, to the signature Loon Mountain Park, with jumps, rails, the 32-foot high wall ride and the brand-new Shaping Shack Hubba. Loon Parks recently grabbed top honors from OntheSnow.com with its Visitor's Choice Award. Transworld Snowboarding readers named Loon a top park and resort, and Snowboard Magazine listed Loon Parks as a Top-10 in North America.
Loon's Superpipe is 450 feet long with 18-foot walls. Those who don't want to go that big can check out the mini-pipe.
