If you are looking for an unpretentious, non-factory, skier and rider centric experience with ripping terrain then discover the Mt. Abram Resort, 5 miles south of Bethel, Maine Village. Mt. Abram offers a full range of amenities at reasonable prices. Abram's "come as you are culture" has been providing memorable downhill experiences since 1960.
The mountain boasts 44 trails of all... ability terrain, five lifts, jib park and Maine's first "Boundary to Boundary" ski policy which sky-rocketed the skiable and rideable area from 250 acres of trails to 550 acres of trails, glades, tree lines and powder stashes that humble some of the most experienced skiers and riders. The mountain's 1,150-foot vertical drop ranges from gentle novice slopes to double black diamonds and exciting tree runs with over half the trails here are ranked intermediate or up, and expert riders and skiers will find plenty of challenges on black diamond trails like Rocky's Run, Fearless, and The Cliff. Snowboarders and Telemarkers relish the well dispersed skiing and gladed runs of Zephyr or The Zone where carved broad turns are just a lift away. The Freestyle Park has been relocated and re-caffeinated for the 2010/2011 ski season and is located an easy distance from the Main Lodge, supplementing the many hits and natural elements throughout the mountain. The Resort's "Westside", served by the "Skyline Chair" and the "Sawicki", an easy to use surface lift, is home to the East's most fabulous "Learn 2" topography. The Westside is comprised of three, long, friendly slopes, including Skyline Drive, Westside's signature run feeding beginning and easy-riding skiers and boarders to the cozy confines of the Westside Lodge.
The Mt. Abram Snow School is well known among generations of Maine families – ask almost anyone who grew up in Maine and they'll tell you that this is where they learned to ski. Instructors throughout New England comment on Abram's teaching terrain. Lessons (group, private and semi-private) are offered in all disciplines (alpine, boarding and telemark) and the instructors know how to make learning fun. Lessons are carefully paced, allowing each student to progress at a rate that ensures an enjoyable experience. Learn to ski or ride packages include lesson, ticket and rentals for beginners. We always enjoy Mt. Abram. It's a laid back, family friendly mountain with something for everyone. Whenever we go, we always have a great time; minimal lift lines, no hot-shots, just people who show up to ski. The deals we get on Liftopia just make it better!

Great little mountain, Had all the terrain, bumps, woods, steeps and flats. We had a great day. The first impression was that it was small but we were very surprised how great it was. Snow was awesome. People were friendly. I will gfo again next year. I had been driving by for several years and now I will stop again.

Some good skiing for everybody. Nice to be able to find people on the mountain too. It is big enough, but small enough.

The west side is a great place to learn. I got some real good practice with my turns. Also, the guy at the top of the lift was super helpful!

I grew up skiing Wildcat in the '70s into the '80s - Mt. Abrams has a great low-key retro feel with fun New England skiing! And now that I'm the one paying, I appreciate the great bargain that it is. No lines the 2x I skied this winter. I'm totally hooked.

enjoyed our day at Mt Abram. I was skiing with my 4 and 6 year old grand nephews. The price of the lift tickets was great. The whole process was very easy

Mt. Abram was the perfect size for my family. The kids could go off on their own and I didn't have to worry about them getting lost. Loved $5 pizza day - fed 5 people for $26 - what a bargain!

Liftopia is doing a great job. We found tickets for an early Dec trip to Utah
and then tickets for our home state of Maine. Encourage the smaller areas in
Maine to participate. This is a great service.....we tell everyone (skiers)
about the site.
Thanks!!
