Saddleback Reviews & Tips (13)
It is best to get early runs when spring skiing, becauae the trails are freshly groomed and the trails wont get skied off from the later arriving skiers

Saddleback has great terrain which is only outdone by the staff who work the resort. Managers are passionate and friendly, lifties are in a great mood, and mountain ambassadors are visible and welcoming you before you've even put your skis down on snow.
The mountain, well, it speaks for itself. Great cruising terrain and phenomenal glades off the Kennebago Quad are more than enough for me to say "I can't wait to come back".

I am a new skier and Saddleback provided the perfect terrain for me. The Green runs are great and everything is so well groomed. I went with my family and a bunch of friends with kids Saddleback offered something for everyone. Also, the people who are working there are very nice and helpful. Hats off to a great ski area.

Pick the right route (in winter) to get there, and once you arrive you'll know the drive was well worth it. Outstanding ski terrain -- all kinds of treats, with all levels of ability supported. Great resort - friendly/helpful staff in the lodge and on the hill. Loved the many selections of glades and steeps. This is one of the best kept secrets in the North East. The views and vistas are incredible from the top. Fantastic snow conditions as of 8-10Mar.

Every year I ask my kids if they want to try another mountain, but they insist on going back to Saddleback -- which my wife and I are thrilled about!

Saddleback has ruined all other mountains in the east for me. The view from the peak is breathtaking with intermediates to chose from the whole way down. Only ever waited in short lines when we skied there president's day holiday. Ski school is fantastic. Both my kids learned to ski here & continue to take lessons when we go back. Friendly atmosphere, great grooming, fun trails, I can't say enough about this place. I feel like nothing else in the east gives me all this.

Saddleback is the best place to ski in the east, hands down. Inexpensive tickets, short lift lines, great terrain, and enormous amounts of snow are just a few of the mountains many great aspects. Sure, people argue that it is not as big as neighboring Sugarloaf and doesn't have as much vertical. But what Saddleback lacks in size it makes up for in character. Its small-town charm mixed with the big mountain experience is something that can not be found anywhere else in New England. The steep, winding, classic new england runs of the Kennebago area including Muleskinner and the new Casablanca glade makes saddleback a top resort for the advanced skier. Saddleback has it all will always be number 1 on my list.

My daughter and I skied Saddleback 3-21-2012. The conditions were great for spring, lot of slop, water running over trails, etc. Saddleback handled it with ease. Best mountain in the East. The temperature was in the high 70*, my only regret was I didnt bring shorts!
We will make Saddleback our primary ski destination.

Best grooming in the East. With little snow, spring conditions the staff did a fabulous job grooming the wet snow. NICE!

Saddleback is an unknown gem! Inexpensive, great terrain, no lines, friendly staff, beautiful lodge, the BEST ski school -- an amazing family mountain.

If anyone has ever been to Wildcat in Nh, you will learn the joy fullness of Saddleback, narrow trails and steep, it was a blast, Kind of reminded me like Wildcat, to a degree. How ever don't take my word go to Saddleback yourself and enjoy such a wonderful Mountain as I did. The mogules were outstanding, trails were fun, had a great time, this will be a yearly trip for me.

Saddleback is a great mountain. Pure Maine skiing at its best! Great glades, narrow winding bump trails and one of the best learning areas in the Northeast. And now you can save money on Saddleback lift tickets at Liftopia!
