Blue Mountain (PA) Reviews & Tips (11)

Was there last Friday and the conditions could not have been better. Blue is one of the best places to ski in eastern PA.

Went on 3/14, a rainy day that worked really well for me since the beginner lesson I paid for turned into a private lesson on an empty slope. Well suited for beginners since they have magic carpets that we could use during the lesson.

Went on a weekday and had a blast. The mountain was not at all crowded, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Shout out to Len for providing an excellent training class. It has probably been 15 years since I last went skiing, and he had me confident in no time. I am looking forward to my next trip to Blue!

Blue Mountain is the best "local" mountain in The Poconos. The place is so clean and the mountain itself is beautiful. The upper lodge has a nice bar outside with fire pits to keep you warm. I could go on and on about how much I love Blue but instead I will just say one last thing and that is that the staff is so friendly and helpful. Blue in a word is AWESOME!!!!!

Very badly designed trails. Trails should always go downhill, so that doesn't matter where you fall or stopped, u can just get back up and ride on. Blue Mountain has the most uphill or flat areas out of all east coast mountains.

This is the best mountain in the Pocono ski area. Of course its crowded on weekends but if you have ever been to mountain creek, you know that Blue is hardly ever as crowded as a mountain can get. The lift lines move faster than any other mountain I've been to, primarily due to their awesome electronic lift system. Weekdays at blue are empty and the trails are nearly always perfect (except the usual ice expected with east coast ski/snowboarding.) If you don't like blue then you might as well move to Colorado because your problem is with the type of skiing available in our region...not with the mountain itself.

Extremely long lines and crowded. Good snow. Lines were so long I will snowboard elsewhere.

Went yesterday for evening skiing after Philly got 15" snow. Mountain was empty. Well groomed, little to no ice, and lots of fun.

I was there last weekend and it was pretty good for the most part except for a few trails that were icy. A little bit crowded also.
