Winterplace is a great resort off of Interstate 77 in Ghent, West Virginia. Boasting 28 trails, 603 feet of vertical, and 9 lifts, Wintergreen is a terrific destination for families and folks looking to get out and enjoy the snow. Winterplace is a great value for the money with the all day lift ticket. Beware if weather permits, they will blow snow and you can get blasted (frost bite) so layer up and be prepared. Great beginner ski resort with many lesson, rental, and lift packages. Good food, prices are little higher than McDonalds, but what you would expect at a ski resort. I would recommend bringing a bag with extra layers and gloves. Lockers are down stairs and only cost $1 to lock and $1 to lock again after re-opening. Great overall place to take the kids.
