Jackson Hole Reviews & Tips (3)
20"S OF POWDER AND ITS GREAT!
Jackson Hole review written Mar 12 2013 - 09:57 AM
I went to Jackson for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. Since the 2011-2012 snow season was pretty crappy, I'm not sure how my week visit compared to previous years, but the snow at Jackson was lighter and fluffier than Snowbird, Alta, Canyons, Brighton or Squaw this year. Teton village was laid back, the culture was more about fun and less about show.
Wait time for the big gondola was long, but worth it to have the whole mountain to go down. Worked on the Hobacks in the AM, and moved across the mountain to Apres Vous for last ski of the day.
Stayed in town and bussed it to the Village, no issues.
I've been skiing my whole life, but I still consider myself an intermediate. I'm going back to Jackson this year as my primary ski destination!

The Teton Mountain Lodge in Teton Village, Jackson Hole, WY has been great for me and my family the last couple of years. Ski in and walk out right in the village. I have always been able to get a great rate by just calling the hotel. Hope Liftopia will have the lift tickets online soon so we can buy before we fly. Don't let the vertical drop scare you, the whole mountain is ski-able and the beginner slopes are well laid out.
