McCauley Mountain Ski Area Reviews & Tips (3)

How could you go wrong with this mountain? Lots of challenging terrain including plenty of moguls and great trails through the trees. The main chairlift is a quick ride because the vertical drop is only around 630 feet, that only allows you to get more runs in. The lodge is a great setup and the people have a skiing community feel about them. Not to mention; lift tickets are cheap and the trails are almost empty on weekdays. Go here if there's snow.

Very cool old school ADK vibe. It felt like I was transported back into the 1950s or 60s. It was much smaller than I was anticipating, not to say there weren't any challenging runs but there was only one double chair for the entire mountain. Granted there was a t-bar but that wasn't running the day I went which was a holiday. In the four or five hours I skied I think I did every open run twice and some three times. Needless to say I got my 20.99 worth of skiing. Definitely had fun minus the speeding ticket I got en route. Thanx Liftopia. "Life is a journey, not a destination," ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Love this place, it wasn't yet fully operational, however I never fail to have fun here. Big mountain feel with a little mountain price. The only hiccup I had was quickly alleviated by staff on site. A ski patrol member had double parked in front of me and I was blocked in in the parking lot. Either the owner or manager quickly solved the issue and I was able to meet my next engagement on time. I can't say enough about how friendly and accommodating the people and staff of McCauley Mountain are.
