Just went on Superbowl Sunday. Got a great deal on Liftopia on the lift tickets. The lift ticket pickup was quick and easy. The mountain had great coverage with nearly all the runs open and all well groomed with only a few icy patches. I recommend sticking with the 6-man lift because it is so much faster than the others. Jiminy has a great variety of trails for all ski levels. Would highly recommend.

Fun mid-March skiing at Jiminy. Conditions were bulletproof on the north-facing steeps until midday, with lots of pudding at the top and bottom. Surprisingly busy for a mid-week but I guess the Irish hordes were out in force for St. Paddy's Day. Other reviewers are generally right about Jiminy's food, but if you stick to simple ... hot dogs for instance ... you'll be OK. Just bring your stock portfolio to pay for it. Nonetheless, Jiminy gives the biggest bang for your ski ticket buck anywhere south of Okemo. I'll take a day at JP over Mt. Snow any day.

Good family mountain. Best mid-week ski. Take an 8hr ticket and bring your lunch because food is not so good. Enjoy our 2 days ski.

Don't bother to come for night skiing. The trails are a mess by then. Get a day off and go during the week early! That's the only time to ski this crowded place!!

Midweek is the best time to ski, too crowded on the weekends. The best terrain in Massachusetts. Expensive food.

I always have a good experience here mid-week. I don't think I've ever gone on a weekend; I know better. The conditions are hit or miss. At night it can get pretty icy. Unfortunately there are a lot of inexperienced skiers and riders that take the lift to the top and then charge down with no regard for anyone else. The Liftopia deal with the food voucher is great. I managed to get a noodle bowl, and a hot cocoa for just under $15. The food is expensive, but I expect that at a ski lodge. My boyfriend and I rode in one of the snowcats one night, and we got the scoop on how they groom all through the night. So the earlier you arrive, the better your chances of getting some nice tracks in before it gets skied out or windblown.

Thanks for the great service. You guys have saved us some good money on our trips so far this season. The deal with Jiminy Peak is so easy to use and it was even really convenient to pick up the tickets at the mountain.

Insanely crowded everytime I've been there. Avoid the lifts right in front of the lodge and stick with H and A and you'll be okay. Gets skiied off pretty fast with the amount of traffic. Go midweek if you can; if not, expect a mob scene.

AWESOME MOUNTAIN!! Great skiing experience - Wouldn't believe it was MA if I didn't see it with my own eyes. 6 Pack lift includes safety gates that reminded me of the Kentucy Derby. Lines were long on this lift but well managed. The black diamonds in the middle of the mountain that this lift services are very steep and icy. Not for the faint of heart. You can bail and go down the easier trails but be ready for some cross country action to get to them. We stuck to the blues on the right side (looking up)and the triple chair lift and had a blast. Almost no lines at all. Plenty of great intermediate trails to choose from. Ace of Spades (black diamond) is a great run. The mountain roller coaster also was on this side of the mountain. Looked like fun but we didn't have the time to ride it. Spent most of our day on this section of the mountain and would do the same again next time. The left hand side (again looking up) of the moutain (Left Bank, Grouse Run) was WAY too crowded. It was literally a continous herd of people narrowly avoiding eachother. Tons of little kids and families on these trails. There were some easy tree skiing and jumps on these trails that were pretty fun though. I would avoid these trails on the weekends though due to the crowds alone. We grabbed lunch at John Harvards which was AWESOME. Had to walk through part of the hotel to get there. Place looks like an great vacation destination. I would def look into staying a couple nights here. There are a few dining / drinking choices nearby and the hotel looked really nice. Shuttle service to and from the parking lots was key. We didn't have to wait more then 5 minutes for a shuttle coming or going.

Riders beware, catwalks abound on this mountain, particularly coming off the 6-pack. Left Bank and West Way get crowded due to the fact that they feed to other trails and other trails feed back into them.

Don't go to the ticket line for your tickets, go to guest services and bring I.D with you. The staff at the lift and on the mountain were lame. People, mostly 15-20 something men were smoking and cutting the lift lines all night. It was pretty obnoxious. Ski patrol were too busy having fun to monitor. I've been skiing for over 25 years and got clipped by a snowboarder who was going so fast he couldn't stop. If he had hit me, it would have been over for both of us. I won't be bringing my family back there again. We will stick with places like okemo and burke!

Mid-week is great if you can get there. Weekends are very crowded so go early. While the food is very expensive and over-priced as is typical at most ski areas, they at least have good food. Expect $20 for a burger, fries and drink.
