Alpine Valley Reviews & Tips (9)
Great runs for Southeastern Wisconsin, gets crowded Friday and Saturday. Also quite expensive, otherwise great facilities.

Expensive but worth it for a family with small children- the ski school is awesome. Mr. Bill and crew rock!! Best deal in ski lessons I've seen yet, and they really do a great job. Had my 3 and 5 year olds on the quad by the afternoon. They'd skied couple of times before but really progressed after a couple of hours with the folks at Alpine Valley ski school. We all had a blast. Great beginner terrain, really nice local feel- can't wait to go back. Agree with above others about the expense, and the lines were long BUT couldn't have had a better time with my kids. If you're looking for a big mountain experience this isn't it, but if you want a nice easy day with your family then I'd say it's definitely worth it.
The lodge was clean and had plenty of room to relax. Everyone, from lifties to ski patrol to the folks in the lodge was super friendly. Worth the $$ and worth the trip.

I agree about the pricing..my kids like to ski a variety of places..but you can ski in michigan at the same type of place for $39 as opposed to the $50 lift ticket at alpine valley...they NEVER discount. You can go up to northern mich, get twice the vertical mountain height and twice the number of runs for way less . Its too bad...nice place for a day trip from northwest indiana, but you pay for it.

The new quad is nice and fast... but it still gets crowded on the weekends.... particularly later in the evening. And.. it's expensive!!

Not a bad hill for a day trip or tune-up for an upcoming ski vacation. Runs on the left are steeper but shorter. If you're any kind of skier stay there.
Don't, I repeat Don't go there on Sat. or Sunday and get there early and leave early on Friday. Lot's of kid's and long lines on the quads to the right.

I have been skiing Alpine for over 20 yrs. The lift ticket and season passes r WAY over priced. No deals!!!!! You can ski west and east in MOUNTAINS for the same price and get deals!.....lived in Summit cty. Pass was cheaper then Alpine.
Get some more business out there!....Drop the price!!!!!

First mountain i have ever been to that doesn't have discounted multiple day passes. The two day pass should not be the same price as buying two, one day passes. FYI I've been to Park City, Stratton, Mount Tremblant, Okemo, and a few others on the east coast.

Alpine Valley doesent have the greatest runs but its a pretty nice place. The snow can get powdery and hard to board on so be carful.YOu could probebly do better at Devils Head or Casscade Mountain but this place is ok
