The Summit at Snoqualmie Reviews & Tips (2)

I went skiing with my son and grandson at Summit East, or what I remember as Hyak. It was the 1st time back since I was in Junior High School. I was blown away with both the great snow in early/mid January 2016, and the runs! I didn't recall there being that many runs so many years ago. I liked the A-Frame Lodge being used for both tickets/rentals/food/lounge. It reminded me of those early years I learned to ski at Summit Central, or again what I knew as Ski Acres. It was a special day to be able to ski with my 4 1/2 year old grandson, and my son. Even though I've crossed 60 years old, I ski hard, but now it's mostly on groomer runs. And Summit East didn't disappoint me, since I've been doing most all my skiing up Highway 2 and I live only 40 minutes away. Watching for good weather and the chance to ski with family again, is what will bring me back to The Summit. It was an unexpected Joy, that I'm looking forward to. I hope others will take the time to get back up to Snoqualmie Pass. It was a very good time!!!

I had a great time. Get there early and you'll have the lifts to yourself. Not much pow and runs beat up a bit. still.. a day boarding is better than any other.

  • - Would you go again?
  • - What would you say to others with your skill level who are interested in going?
