Snowy Range Reviews & Tips (10)

Did not make it second day to the lifts, so a two day ticket was an expensive one day. It was snowing heavily and cars were sliding all over the place. Keeping chains in the car is a good idea as the conditions went from sunny in Centennial to impassable few miles up the mountain. It is a good intermediate ski resort. Especially for kids. Lifts are slow and old. They slow them a lot for kids and new skiers who have trouble loading and unloading. Great place to teach kids. Not too bad for intermediate skier. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Because of its small size walking distance is short from the car to the lift.

We took our whole family just after the holidays and had a great time! The people who run Snowy Range, from the ticket desk to the rentals to the awesome ski school instructors for the kids were AMAZING and made our trip smooth, fun and enjoyable! Renting and purchasing lift tickets through Liftopia meant that our equipment was ready to go when we got there, and within a short time, we were all enjoying the slopes! Not the long runs or the fast lifts of Colorado, but an incredible place to take families, especially with their quality ski and snowboard instructors!

Good family and intermediate ski area. As an advanced skiier the lifts were old and slow. The slopes and views did not compare to Summit County (but it was also half the price). I took my grandson and family. For a beginner area you cannot beat the price, slopes and lack of crowds. The cafeteria was not very crowded and food reasonably priced. This will be a great area to teach my grandson to ski and I will go back many times.

First time at snowy range yesterday (12/26). Took my 2 kids 7 & 9 and skied mostly blues and a couple blacks. Nice runs, great snow very low traffic. Same distance from Ft. Collins as to Loveland, but my kids said they preferred snowy range. Saved a couple bucks and had several runs all to ourselves. Would definitely go again!

Really enjoy Snowy Range. Definitely family friendly. Terrain for all skill levels, even advanced. Virtually no lift lines, so spend much more time skiing than waiting in line! Lifts and lodge are in great condition, and the staff are friendly. Snowboarders enjoy the dedicated area with all the doodads that they like (rails etc.). A wonderful place for you to come and make some great family memories together!
