Ski Anthony Lakes Reviews & Tips (9)
Fun little ski hill but not a lot of runs to choose from. Snow was good to great in my visits and the lodge food is reasonably priced, by ski hill standards. Be aware that the only chair is a fixed grip triple so a little slow compared to a detachable. The only sour note is that they state that the chair is open until 4 but their clock is fast and they refused to load us at 3:55. My watch was correct (I checked it later). Maybe a small point but annoying as the lodge is uphill from the chair and we had to walk back.. There was a small group that was refused to load and everyone was a little pissed about it. Considering this was a sunny day at the end of March, it made no sense to close the chair early.

Anthony Lakes has the best snow in Oregon!! It had more powder this year than we've seen in our mountains here in Colorado. It's situated in a very unpopulated area of Oregon which means no crowds, no long waiting lines and no traffic (and for those of you who have spent anytime in the mountains here in Colorado, you know what I mean). They have an awesome little bar serving local micro-brews. Who could ask for more?!!

Hmm...
Well, it's a long trip from anywhere you might be...
Very difficult snow...
Way slow lift...
Shallow runs...
Too friendly staff...
Stay away from this place... Really.
Lots of other areas around... Go there. Really.
You won't like it here. Reaaaalllly!
I'll go there for you... Someone has to, it might as well be me...
You'll thank me for it!
Did I already say you shouldn't bother to come here???
:)

Had a delightful time! Staff is friendly, food was GREAT. Fellow snow users are friendly and willing to share. The University students from the nearby town are open, talkative and glad to share also! Truly a hidden gem. We've skiied a lot of places and are season ticket holders to another ski area, but when Anthony has some new snow and the sky is going to be blue it is a great time. We are upper 50's low 60's in age and the shorter runs are actually a huge plus for us. When you are done with a run, you are still thirsting for a little more instead of blown out and wobbly legged. Be aware that you have to have or purchase a SnoPark pass to park anywhere on the premises!! Thanks again for a great time and a memorable day Anthony Lakes-we WILL be back again and again.

After buying our tickets on Liftopia and making the drive up to the mountain, the staff at the ticket booth did not mention that the slopes closed at 3 hrs early for this day. If we had this information we would have used our time on the slopes much more wisely. At 1:15 we were in line at the chair lift and they just shut it down. We had to walk back to lodge and leave the slopes.

Nice, but short steeps. Try Rock Garden or Tumble Down. There seem to always be powder shot in the trees. 18 inches when we were there. Even a park for my 10 year old. You must give this little mountain a try.

It's a great little mountain - nice powder shots in the trees! Only 900' vertical, but if you want no crowds, good powder, nice areas to work on technical aspects - off trail, and a very nice staff - this is a great mountain - especially for the $.... The runs are short, but will maintained with no lines at the only lift. Definitely will be back again!

Anthony Lakes was beautiful! The staff was friendly and attentive. My two sons took lessons (ski and snowboard) and I highly recommend them. Small classes. Bring a helmet if you want one. They don't rent them at this time but are looking into it for next year. The Nordic skiing was beautiful, nicely groomed trails.

We had a great time at Anthony Lakes. The staff, especially the lifties are fun and energetic and the terrain is great for being a smaller area with beautiful views. We will definitely go back again.
