Timberline offers the longest ski season in North America. The winter season typically begins early to mid-November and continues through Memorial Day. Our Palmer Express high-speed quad lift allows us to operate later into the summer season than anyone else (usually June 1st through Labor Day). Many years, we’re open for fall skiing as well (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in ... September and October snow permitting). For up-to-date hours of operation, call our Snow Phone at 503-222-2211, or view our conditions page at www.timberlinelodge.com/conditions. Read more

Timberline Lodge Reviews & Tips (9)

Was glad to have gotten the discount thru Liftopia because the day at Timberline was just ok. We had rain down the bottom, ok conditions in the middle and closed up top. The salvation was a fantastic buffet.

Loved this place! Great options on runs, and the lodge is beautiful. Just note, the runs are not easy to find from the top. We had to ask for help several times. Most of the time you have to go down another run to find the start of the one you want, and it does not indicate this on the trail map. Beautiful, and quiet.

Watch out for the lift chairs on the Pucci run! On some of the chairs, the protective padding over the steel frame at each end have come off, and the sharp metal can slice into your calf if you happen to sit on each end when you get off, and don't do it fast enough, before the chair starts turning! I have a nice bruise from it now.

My wife, teen daughter, and myself spent 5hrs here last Sat night, and the snow/weather was awesome. We had a great time night boarding for the 1st time.

really lovely, family friendly mountain with long runs and great variety. My husband & I each had a good lesson, but we were unable to get our 6 year old into ski school because we didn't book in advance... (and this was mid week...). Of all the options on Mount Hood this is the one with the most consistent snow conditions, the lodge is really worth seeing & definitely try the skiers lunch (great buffet for $5 off if you've got a lift ticket).

would like to know about lessons and rates. A group of us are planning to go to the mountain and I am the only one that does not know how to ski or snow board .. Thank you for your response .

Lodging with character, superb food, trails for everyone, snowfall that puts the Colorado "big boys" to shame. Go! And if you need more black trails, they're right across the street at Mt. Hood Meadows.

Pick up your passes at the Ski Services desk on lower level. Check lift schedules - you have to plan your afternoon runs to maximize day (some close at 3:00, some at 3:30, some at 4:00 - since some lifts run BELOW the lodge, you can get trapped :-)
