A mere 45 minutes from Boston you'll find Nashoba Valley, home of skiing and riding seven days and seven nights a week.

Eight lifts (three triples, a double, and four surface) handle the crowds, dispersing classes, or those just playing, over 17 trails and a terrain park. With both a modest vertical and pitch there's nothing that Nashoba's cadre of ... instructors can't get you down, but there is terrain for all abilities.

With 100% snowmaking and a modern grooming fleet, Nashoba's snow farmers keep the surface in excellent condition despite the traffic. The tree-lined trails (tall white pines for the most part) give the area a park-like feeling, and a rather comforting aspect - perfect for those just starting out.

Nashoba Valley Reviews & Tips (8)

Not the worst, not the best. Nice bunny hill for beginners, the runs seem to last about 30 seconds.

If you are looking for a big mountain, then go to NH, ME, or VT, but if you want no lift lines, a damn good terrain park, awesome bar, friendly people ( you know, the type that you look in the eye, rather than up their nose) this place is legit. Tickets are pretty cheap, and though the runs are short, they have variety and fun little jibs everywhere. Our crew goes at least 1-2 times a month for the season, even though we ride a lot of big mountain stuff too. We even take our newbie friends here, since it is a small mountain. Its a good place to learn or just practice for the big stuff. Thumbs up.

Nashoba is a fun mountain, but due to its size (or lack of), i can not vote this mtn as one of the best in Mass. Is a solid smaller mountain (or large hill), its very local, a fun place to board, has a really nice bar area, and makes good snow. Its worth the trip if you want to practice or improve your skills, but if you're looking for more of a thrill, try someplace else. I've been boarding all over the whole east coast, and i must say that although i perfer the bigger mountains, Nashoba is one of those places i tend to hit up at least a few times a year, every year.

hands down best resort in mass. anyone who says flawchusett hasn't been to Nashoba. Nashoba has the best park, most lifts, steepest trails, shortest lines, best bar. It's no contest. If Nashoba had a buttcrack I would still rather be there than at wachusett. Nashoba made more snow, better snow, and didn't open anything that wasn't 100% perfect. We go north every weekedn for longer runs but for night skiing in mass Nashoba beats all and a visit will prove it to even the dumbest most stubburn flawflaw fans. Bradford and Ward are cool too, why does wawa's snow and park have to be so awful?

Nashoba may only have 240 vertical on paper, but she packs a big punch! It is straight up, the most wicked awesome resort to ski in Mass.
