Mission Ridge Reviews & Tips (10)
Overall Mission Ridge is a great ski area, no lines, lots of terrain for the skiier population and wonderful grooming.
2 negatives:
1. The older double chairs are a problem for beginners, they come fast and you really have to know what to do when they whisk you away.
2. The base lodge food service is ridiculously slow.
Other than that this is a friendly, uncrowded little gem of a ski area.

We skied mid-week. No lines, empty hill and great for intermediate/advanced skiers. really long runs from the top with lots of open terrain for personal skiing. Only the bunny hill is goof for beginners as the chairs are quite daunting. The midway restaurant closed at 2pm, I missed a chance to have a later afternoon beer break there, so remember to check closing times.

Bring the family! We enjoyed incredible spring skiing with three generations recently. Family from all over the country agreed: best skiing conditions, grooming, sunshine, snow, lunch outside at the Midway lodge=Priceless! Can't wait to do it again!!!

If you like long & steep cruisers in a family friendly athmosphere, then Mission Ridge is the place for you! Older and slower lifts keep the ticket prices down and the staff is friendly and helpful. Mission Ridge has also several excellent double black diamond runs and tree runs. Since Mission Ridge is somewhat more inland from the Pacific, the snow is drier than in other WA ski areas. I highly recommend this ski area/resort and would go back there any day!
Thank you Liftopia and Mission Ridge.

The staff at Mission all seem very helpful. We got our tickets and rental equipment quickly. The equipment is very dated, though. Mission's ski lifts run very slow ... and they stop way too frequently. If you add in large crowds to that mix, it makes for a very long / slow day. We were there on 2/25 and it was really windy and mostly icy -- not great skiing conditions. If you are not familiar with the area, the road up to the mountain, while just a short distance from Wenatchee, is steep and full of twists and turns (some very tight) so you must drive slowly and carefully. Coming back down can be even worse as you ride your brakes down the whole way - be careful not to hit ice on the sharp turns. Personally, I think there are easier resorts to get to in the Pacific NW, usually with better snow and faster lifts.

I blew both my knees last Feb and have been back on snow 2x now - both at Mission. The snow is light, the runs are well groomed and when i'm "back in the saddle", I can't wait to get into the fluffy "off pieced". Having grown up in Utah, this hill is such a delight in terms of snow, terrain and accessibility. The whole family can find fun up here!

My daughter and I had a great day of skiing at Mission Ridge. We parked close to the lodge, got her rentals and my skis tuned in no time and were on the lifts before we knew it! No lift lines, friendly staff and a great deal to have lift tickets AND LUNCH voucher!! Thanks, Liftopia!!! :-)

Had a great weekend with the family (despite poor weather) at Mission. Very friendly lifties and locals. Good variety of runs for everyone - wide open cruisers, steeps, gladed runs.

My 8 year old daughter who is just learning to ski gets whisked off of chair one and her skiis get tangled because the lift operator refuses to slow the chair down to pick her up after my request. Then the operator at the "get off" end of chair one does not slow the chair down and she has to jump off about a foot and it scares her. The beginning snow boarder behind us could not quickly get off and he went all the wasy around. These operators need to be more accomodating to beginners.
