Oak Mountain Reviews & Tips (5)

Nice little mountain for beginners. Slow lift is the biggest downside. Friendly staff, and not expensive. One run that is moderately challenging for advanced skiiers, but unless there is lots of snow, there will be bare spots on it. Would not recommend if you want challenging runs. Go to Gore or VT.

Our family has both boarders and skiers. Sign up for lessons early. They are a fantastic value. My daughter had a private lesson with Tom. He was super nice and did a great job pushing her, but staying within her comfort zone. My boys liked the terrain park...great for beginners. Lift lines were practically non-existent and the trails were perfect. I hesitate to give it a fantastic review, because I'd prefer to keep this little Adirondack gem to ourselves!

Great Mountain with a nice variety of trails. Some of the connecting trails weren't open during our visit due to lack of snow. One lift to the top (a little slow) but never a lift line and plenty of room on trails. Very nicely groomed. Lift had no bar to rest your skis on way up which lead to some leg fatigue. Very spacious Lodge & bar. Look forward to returning!

Oak is a terrific mid-sized ski/snowboard center.THOSE OF US WHO SKIED IN 1970`s USED A CHALLENGING T-BAR TO RIDE TO THE TOP ! The Chair lift is a heavenly improvement ! And what a great upgrade about ten years ago with the new lodge/restaurant,and Tubing Lanes. See you December 2011 at Oak ! Butch Waszkiewicz Utica NY e-mail: retire@dreamscape.com
