West Mountain Reviews & Tips (2)
West Mountain is a locally owned mountain that has the potential to be a genuine reflection of the lower Adirondack Park. Some trails are nestled amongst trees and vistas of distant peaks loom in the background. You get the feeling that West use to be able to provide a small mountain feel and offered skier and riders some challenging terrain that had multiple fall lines. Now, however the mountain could use a little modernizing of its equipment and a little TLC. The staff and other patrons were very nice and appear to be devoted to re-establishing the reputation that the mountain once held. Despite the few slopes the mountain had blown in, trails were well groomed and maintained.

Not a bad mountain to ski on if you are a beginner. They are pretty overpriced though. For not a whole lot more money you could drive 45 minutes further and go to Gore Mountain. The service was OK, not great but could have been worse. Be careful on the lifts! They are greasy and the stains generally don't come out. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but I would be reluctant to pay their prices again.
