Willard Mountain Reviews & Tips (5)

There seems to be a lot of special events going on at Willard with various deals for different nights so definitely check or call in before getting a lift ticket at regular price. I went there once last year and I was surprised when the main slope was shut down for slalom races. It was fun to watch but it also meant less terrain to ski and longer lines at the 1 remaining lift for me. Again, check what's happening that night before going. Also, in my opinion, this is not a great place to bring a beginner skier. There is one (very flat) run that new skiers will not be intimidated by. Otherwise, they may find Willard too challenging because although it is a small place, it is a steep hill. I had fun but my wife didn't enjoy skiing all that much because the intermediate runs started out too steep for her confidence level. Just something to consider. We enjoyed the fire, live music, and drinks at the lodge. While it was a good time I'll probably explore other mountains with a greater variety of beginner and intermediate runs at a slightly steeper price before returning.

Delicious hot chocolate, at a low price. Dedicated knowable instructors for the children's ski program. Resonable prices. No lift lines, two chair lifts were running. Slopes were well covered and taken care of. Lighting for night skiing.
