Skied Attitash/Bear Peak 2/8, midweek on a great Liftopia price ticket! Never a lift line. Conditions were a little icy but that's the normal at most resorts this season. I think they did a good job of grooming and a significant number of trails were open. For advanced and Intermediate skiers there are many great and challenging trails on both peaks. Don't take your beginner friends to the top of either peak. Since there is no easy way down, they will probably hate you for it. Unlike previous reviews, I did not find the cross over from one peak to the other to be a problem. It's well marked, and there are trail map boards at the top of all lifts. If it's your first time there, take a trail map with you. Enjoy!

Attitash is two hills, and the west hill (Bear) has a high speed lift to the top. The trails down are black diamond, and for confident skiers, they are good to do. Last week one of these trails, Illusion, was being used for a serious ski race, and I can see why. I will have to return and do that trail. I also like the larger size of the base lodge on the west side. My ticket deal included rentals, which I did not want. But the price reduction was good.

Always check with the Mountain before you purchase tickets online for any special deals. Last weekend at Attitash and Wildcat for example was Military appreciation Weekend. Active Duty, Vets and Retired Skied free, spouse was discounted.

i actually decided to ski at Wildcat ,because i called ahead and Attitash was not operating lifts to the top because of the severe wind gusts,it was on of the coldest days i have ever skied, but my tip is it is better to call ahead on days like that to see what is operating on windy days, the conditions at Wildcat were very good and there may have been about 100 cars in the parking lot so i had the whole mountain to myself and i dressed for the cold weather, come on spring . Thank you liftiopia you are the best !

While Attitash has good snow, the mountain is poorly laid out. Getting between the two peaks is problematic, and the resort would surely benefit from having a parallel lift (much like Sunapee) bringing skiers back and forth between the peaks. Because of this issue, it is only worthwhile peak-hopping once during a full day of skiing.

If conditions are a little scratchy head to Bear Peak. Best runs and best conditions especially if you are an intermediate/expert skier.

Conditions were great and the deal we got from Liftopia could not be beat. Very happy with the overall price of lift tickets. My youngest is learning to ski and I put her in buddy bears. She was in the first level last year. I read bad reviews about this program but chose to see for myself. Well my daughter was upset after the first day. She told the instructor that her boots were too tight, they just ignored her. She was crying they also ignored this. How do I know, because I saw her outside on the bunny trail and asked her what was the matter. Also she said no one ever told her you are doing good or gave her any positive reinforcement, which I feel is crucial at this stage. She also said the woman running the daycare was yelling at the kids and should not be working with children. This is a quote from my 6 year old.

If you go, sharpen your edges. Was really hard-pack/ice conditions when I went last weekend (Feb 28). They have a lot of really steep runs but with those conditions I wasn't about that life. Maybe wait until they get some more snow or for springtime to soften it up, unless iceboarding/skiing is your thing!

Bear Peak is where it's at. Not much variety of terrain or interest in the more crowded main mountain. Good, fast lift service and challenging runs at Bear Peak.

Skied at Attitash for two days Feb 25-26 with a great deal from Liftopia. The skiing was the best skiing I've done in my 40 years of skiing. Weather near 30, full sun, trails a perfect corduroy and the place was virtually empty! Fantastic! So much nicer with the weather and conditions than skiing on those 5 degree days with winds. Would do this again and again. Having skied attitash my whole life, I had no idea how great bear peak is. It's truly deserted there and the trails and conditions (including the terrain park) are awesome.

It was our first time to Attitash. We had a great time, and even though it was February break for kids it was not very crowded. We got in a ton of runs. The Triple Quad (the one that goes all the way to the top) was extremely slow and eventually broke down around 2pm so that was a bummer, but other than that we had a good time. Both sides (At and Bear) had solid runs. The terrain park on the Bear side was fun. The only other complaint is about the lodges. I was a little underwhelmed with the base lodges on both mountains (At and Bear). I have nothing against lodges that are simple ...but it is always nice if they have sort of a ski/rustic/lodge type feel. These just felt like sterile cafeteria environments really.

Just skied Attitash and it's sister resort Feb 5th, condions were great a bit of ice here and there. Overall a good day on the slopes. Lots of mostly groomed runs with various difficulty levels. Good lodge facilities at both locations. Mid week so the lifts and slopes were quiet. A good place to ski.

Great mountain when they have a good snow cover. When I was there the weekend of 1/24/15 to 1/25/15 it was very icy with lots of closed trails.

Until they get a significant snowfall, I would not recommend skiing Attitash. A number of runs weren't open due to lack of snow cover. The runs that were open, skied off very quickly and became quite slick.

Skiied 1/6/15 and was pleasently surprized with the good base and snow. Trails were well covered with plenty of snow and no lift lines what so ever!! Toward the end of the day, ice patches were starting to show up. It was close to 0 F with some wind, so one can not complain. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoy

I was there on 12/26 and 12/27, 2014, ski on difficult green and easy blue. I was late for my clinic, and the trainer who helped me locate the group discovered that I was more advanced for the group, so he took me by himself. It was like a private lesson with a group cost. He was great. The learning center trail is difficult compared to the learning trails among other ski resorts, such as, Waterville, Loon Mountain. I do not recommend someone who has only been in a lesson or two go on that trail. The trail is not perfectly groomed, Weather was very warm in the 40s. Staff were all friendly, warm and very helpful. Will go back again.

Last week of March was very good time for skiing on Attitash, Bear Peak and Wildcat mountains. Good groomed slops for any skiers. Properly selection between groomed and no groomed (bumps) slops for advanced skiers. Were quite cold days to add snow making to improve riding conditions. It is very desirable to increase the speed of the ski lifts for the longest runs.

Great conditions last Tuesday the 18th of March. First time I've ever skied Attitash and was very happy with the terrain selection, a good mix of Intermediate and Advanced. One surprising fact was that during the week the lifts didn't open until 9AM. I'm usually not a mid-week skier but I found it disappointing sitting in the lodge for an hour waiting for the lifts to open. I would definitely go again - as a matter of fact I'm heading back there next weekend!

Very good mountain, the grooming needs improvement. Went this past Fri. and Sat., and by 11am, trails were sloppy, and it really hadn't even warmed up yet, and was not that crowded either.

There on Friday, February 28, 2014. The conditions were great, was a little cold, frostbite warning and all. It cleared out in the afternoon and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. If we were to go to Wildcat again, and we definitely would, we would stay over and try to ski for two days because the drive is so long coming from S. NH. Their half day ticket is a real bargain though. We were the last ones up the lift!!

We were there on Saturday where temps were in the low to mid 30s. From 9am - 2pm, it was like spring condition--slushy, soft, and buttery. Then after 2pm, it got really icy.

First time at the mountain and found it very friendly; both staff and other skiers with a free ski & bag checks an unexpected bonus. The conditions were awesome considering the recent weather patterns with approx. 85% open. I found the runs really good for some fast cruising and also challenging in the late afternoon when the fresh snow was brushing off and a few icy patches were forming - these were mainly on the blues with the blacks still being in great shape. Lifts were fast (all but one anyway) and lines were short even though there looked to be a fair few people skiing. Even the lodge was nice-we walked in for lunch and sat straight down as a table was being vacated. We will go back and recommend it to skiers of all levels. Some of the closed blacks looked really steep and challenging and the snow guns were firing on several runs.

So glad Liftopia exists ~ Thanks for the great discount guys/gals!! We had a blast out there ~ spent most of the clear sunny day in the bumps and what few glade trails that were open. Quite a few steeps were closed (let's do a snow dance!) and what was open was pretty iced over so spent time on my edges. Skiing is getting expensive these days but there is no such thing as a bad day on the mountain. Bear Peak lodge is a great place to chill out!!

I snowboard too but choosing both bubbles wasn't an option. I forgot my poles and the man at the Bear Peak desk lent me some for free. Made my day! The trail layout with black diamonds emptying out onto pretty much green traverses is an accident waiting to happen. More trail signage is needed and it should be better coordinated with the map. This is a hard mountain to visit. I imagine those who love it are the people who are there so often that they are no longer suprised by the trail layout or the navigational difficulties.

Saturday was windy and crowded. The lifts to the upper slopes were closed leaving the lower slopes crowded and chewed up quickly. Additionally, there were races scheduled at both mountains wich further limited the trails avaialble to regular paying customers. Overall, a bad day skiing.

The only good thing about Attitash was the fact that I received a discount on my lift ticket from Liftopia. Otherwise, the customer service was terrible, including waiting to redeem my Liftopia voucher because the ticket agent was on her cell phone. In the lodges, there are very few places to securely store your personal gear and the wait staff was inattentive. I will not go back!

As crazy as it sounds, I would suggest going on the weekend, they have the ski check and bag check at no charge, during the week the lockers are 1$ every time you want to open, which is still cheaper than everywhere else. The base is about 12" there are very few icy spots. Attitash has by far the longest runs of anywhere in the east. I am glad we got the three day pass, we did sunday monday and tuesday. Pack light, it is a large place and at the end of the day when you ski to the car loop and have to walk to the lodge to get your stuff and carry back to the car loop it is a hike, about 75 yards.

Considering the lack of snow back home in Mass we were pumped to see all the snow at Attitash. We skied on Friday Feb 3. Conditions were pretty darn good. The sun was out and no wind. It was my first time at Attitash. The view from the top was as good as it gets in New Hampshire. Crowds were also small. My only complaint was the lack of a high speed quad to the top of Attitash Peak. We also had some great Apres at the Red Parka just down the road.

Great snow until and hour or 2 before closing when it got kind of icy. For the lack of snow they've gotten so far, it was great! No lines either which was a huge plus with options like Loon not too far away. Would love to see some more high-speed lifts... especially when the weather is so windy and cold! Overall, worth the drive from Boston!

Great deal for late season skiing. We skied March 28 - 30th. Coverage was fantastic, beautifully groomed, very few skiers there and sunny skies. Skied Attitash wednesday march 2nd. No problem using Liftopia. Snow conditions were excellent, no ice nor bare spots, even on steep runs. Enjoyed Tim's Trauma, reminds me a bit of the Super S at Mt.Ste-Anne. Lift layout is weird with the newer lift at Attitash peak ending mid-mountain, have to take the old lifts to reach the summit. Cafeteria food at the main lodge was just adequate. Overall, a nice hill with good snow and some issues with lifts and food. Would certainly return, especially with discounted tickets from Liftopia.

Skied Attitash when Wildcat closed due to high winds. Wish the Attitash summit lift was a high speed quad. Hated being on the triple chair while being passed by chairs on the quad only going halfway up. Conditions were great- couple of spots hadn't been groomed that gave us some trouble, but absolutely no complaints. It was the first time redeeming liftopia passes so as others flagged, you need to go to the main ticket window by the ski shop. Now that we know it's not so bad.

don't hesitate to put your little ones in the daycare. I brought my 2 year old granddaugher for her first time at the mountain on Jan 22 -26. Everyone was wonderful, from the women behind the ticket counter to the daycare people. The magic carpet is free for the little ones' under 5 and you can even hang out with them while they are learning to ski. Wonderful people made us feel so welcome!!

Skied Attitash on 01/29/11. Short lines, temps in upper 20ties and nice powder, although the cover could have been deeper (by lunch, the blacks were skied off). If you plan on skiing the whole day, to get the most out of it, do the more challenging/vertical terrain on the Attitash side in the morning, when it still has a nice cover and is not scary to ski. Then head to Bear Peak after lunch for nice blue runs. They were in great condition at 1pm and the lift there is much faster with less people. Agree with the previous post - the triple going to the Attitash peak is sloooow.

It was sub temps when I skied there on 1/24/11. Multilayer clothing, helmet and masket kept in the warmth. Highly recommend toe warmers. Week days are the way to go, no lift lines.

It was single digits when I was there on the 22nd but I hardly felt it. I was prepared with warm clothes and a face mask. It was a gorgeous sunny day, with very little wind. This was my first trip to Attitash and I was a little nervous because I typically snowboard on mountains that are less vertical, like Bretton woods. But it was really fun. There weren't many crowds either. I liked the Bear Peak side better than Attitash because the lift lines were shorter.

As an intermediate skier recovering from an injury, skiing Abernaki to the halfway point or the quad on the Attitash side allows interesting terrain without the stress of the vertical drop. Also, a lot warmer on a January day with single digit temp.!

Take some time to set up a plan. The mountain felt a little broken up to me, spent a lot of time going places, trying to get to the trails I wanted to ski. Had I taken a little more time to figure out what I wanted to ski, I would have been better served.

Good for all level of skiers with good grooming and trail choice. Wish that triple chair to the top went a whole lot faster though. Even an intermediate will ski to the base much quicker then it takes to get to the top on that super slow chair.

Myself, wife and 14yr daughter all skied on Sun the 1/16. It snowed about 5-7in the night before so we had fresh top coat of powder, we got to the mountain early just as the lifts opened and made fresh tracks down Cathedral and Upper Highway to start and then moved on to Bear peak(not an easy crossing)make sure you get enough momentun to cross or it will be like xcountry, Summit triple chair needs to be updated took about 24 min to the top with all the stops, one that lasted about 5-7mins. Other than that it was the best skiing so far this season..

Good call on the comparison, Tim! The two resorts are only 3,031 miles apart and completely different in business model. You can use Attitash lift tickets for Wildcat or Attitash. If you have a multi-day ticket, check conditions on both. The weather in Pinkham Notch is much different than Barlett. Attitash also has contracts with most of the local schools for winter recess. Make sure you visit doesn't coincide with theirs.

Ski Bear Peak in the morning, then finish up at Attitash inthe afternoon. Best trails, in my opinion, are Illusion on Bear Peak and Upper Ptarmigan and Tightrope on Attitash. Enjoy!
