The Balsams/Wilderness resort is a small resort located in New Hampshire (US). With 85 acres of ski area and 4 ski lifts, this resort is small but can be fun. Two ski lifts go to easy hills, and 2 parallel lifts bring you to the top (1000 foot vertical to the bottom). The glades are one of the funniest places,... and there are blues and greens as you move yourself out from the center of the lifts. Directly in the middle of the lifts are the hardest courses. The Balsams offer ski and snowboard rental, snow school, and on site fine-dining and lodging. The Balsams also offer nordic skiing and snowshoeing. In the summer there are a lot of other activities such as golfing, biking, canoeing, hiking, and others. Read more

Reviews & Tips (2)

Ask the desk to have your lift ticket waiting for you at the downhill area--The Wilderness. We went straight to skiing before checking in. Plenty of room in the parking lot and it gave us more time on the hill on arrival day!

Colebrook NH. The Balsams is the coldest place I have ever been. Temp was 24 deg's below zero. My car had to be towed to a shop to thaw out the oil. Now that's COLD
