We have always had good skying at Boyne Highlands. This trip I was shocked by poor service by rude employees along with uninformed guest services employees that were of no help with my resort questions. One skier in our group was injured by a pooly installed and marked rope that was dividing two runs. The rope was poorly marked for night skiing. In addition another skier higher on the run had hit the same rope and ski patrol was no where to be found to help either skier.

Easily the best mountain in the Midwest. Huge amount of runs for all levels. Great grooming and hospitality. There is always an employee with in sight if you have any questions or problems.
Save big $$ and pack a lunch. They have a spot in the main lodge for lunch packers to keep everything.
Ed Kep has pretty much got the timing of the day down perfectly. Expect we hit the interconnect and go to the North Face for a bit before lunch.
Over all great place. Highly recommended.

Great time. Friendly attendants. Smooth line flow. We rode on a Sunday all day and had a blast; not very crowded and the snow and weather were excellent.
The Liftopia ticket made getting our lift tickets easy [as always]. We arrived when the lifts opened and didn't go in all day until our tickets expired. It was disappointing that there was no night skiing on Sunday.
I have to agree with the comment above - go to any resort over Superbowl weekend and expect to have the mountain to yourself! We chose the weekend after President's Day to avoid crowds and it was perfect.

It was GREAT! We have never skiied anywhere north of Caberfae in Cadillac. *Almost* felt like skiied out in Salt Lake City. We saved $$ by booking on liftopia and also saved some extra $$ by packing sandwiches, powerade, and snacks for lunches. Saved on hotel by staying in Petoskey-- found a decent hotel on priceline. Never made it over to Boyne Mtn-- most recommendations were to stay at Highlands if you are a beginner (which I am). Customer service was great-- the guys helping at the lifts were always friendly, and we met a hospitality worker at the top of one of the lifts who offered to take us on a personal "tour" of the place. We also gave us some free vouchers for hot cocoa at the warming hut. Very nice overall!

Boyne Highlands is terrific, and a lot of fun for the entire family! Here's my tip: drop off your skis at the main entrance, and then go park your car; the parking lot is a hefty uphill walk and can be quite cumbersome when you're carrying skis and trying to keep an eye on the kids. Much more crowded than Boyne Mountain; bring a picnic lunch to save $$ on the cafeteria, which can be pretty expensive.

Was great! I have already told many people to purchase through your company. Was flawless/easy and saved a lot of $$
Thanks!

If you're like us and ski at Boyne Highlands on Sunday the best and least crowded time is early. People don't come out until 10:30. Ski the high-speed quad until it gets crowded. Then jog over to Amy's run until lunchtime, at around 12-12:30 most go in for lunch and you can go back to the quad. When they come back out then you go in for a quick lunch.
