I think you will love skiing @ Boyne Mt. I've been skiing Boyne Mountain for 21 years. I will continue to go back till I get too old to drive. The snow is always perfect for us. The slopes are well groomed and that is what I love!!! I can do more runs in a given day with groomed slopes. We eat 3 meals a day a @ Boyne Mt. and never disappointed. The staff is wonderful and very prompt. We stay in the Boyneof and love the ski in/out. Moderately priced! Yes, we will continue to go to Boyne Mt. We have lots of family and friends that also vacation there. See you Boyne Mt. in February 2012. Thank you, Kathy Y Lenhardt, Cincinnati, ohio

We had a great time. My kids and husband snowboard and I ski - there was something for everyone at Boyne Mountain. If you can't get out west this is a pretty good place to ski/ride.

My friends and I prefer Boyne Highlands to Boyne Mtn, but that is personal preference. We've had stellar experiences at both places, and $7 for a piece of pizza, medium salad and a soda is a pretty great deal as far as ski resorts/areas go. As always, Liftopia did not disappoint.

If you are looking up the mountain and want to ride the high-speed chair, go to the lines on the left side of the chair lift base. They are much shorter and move quicker.

Boyne Mt is always a great time. They did a great job keeping the ice down after the last warm spell. Lines can be long during holidays and saturdays, after getting your ticket try the Hemlock 2 man chair or the Victor 4 man chair if the high speed is too crowded in the morning or after lunch. They are a short walk if you plan it right.

Boyne is always great, on and off the mountain! If you buy a 2 day pass, make sure they give you a 2 day pass on the first day and not a 1 day pass. We had a little conflict redeeming the second day's lift ticket at the Highlands when we boarded Boyne Mountain on the first day, but thankfully they worked it out over a phone conversation. The lift ticket worked for snow tubing at the Highlands too! So much fun and thanks to Liftopia, we saved some money, which is always nice. :)

Boyne is always a good place to spend the weekend. They have a lot of varied terrain, so anyone beginner to advanced can have a good time. As noted, victor and the new meadows lift are the places to go to get in a lot of runs. Also, first tracks is the only way to go. There are never any lines and you get great runs in. Avoid the night skiing as it gets very busy and choppy. Its best to just do the 9-4:30 and then head to Piersons for a good drink. The terrain parks arent bad, but the landings could be better. Also, the superpipe is ice, so it does not feel good clipping the deck and falling 18' to the flats onto ice. All in all, it is a great weekend of skiing for any level.

Skiing here is great for all levels of ability.
I ski with freinds of all levels and if you want to get in plenty of runs but stay close to base to stay in touch with a group avoid the Mountain Express high speed lift and run laps on the Victor lift. Slower than the Mountain express but no line and pretty much ski on so what you give up in ride up you gain on standing in line at the bottom. Probably can do 6 runs off Victor in the time it takes to do 4 off high speed. You can put the burn in your legs and be ready for the break about the same time as your friends need a break from the high speed crowd.

My mates and I have trekked to Boyne for the last 6 or 7 years, always have a great time. Snow is typically pretty great (very icy at night, though). Worth noting: I bought a 3-day ticket through Liftopia - Thurs, Fri, Sat - but they would only give me one day at a time... so I had to go back on Friday AM and again Saturday AM. Despite the $aving$ over my pals who bought at the mountain, they were finished with the ticket window the rest of the trip... and I had to keep driving back. Regardless, money is money :)

I had a great time at Boyne Mountain, and very glad for the Liftopia lift ticket. Great facilities, the skiing was terrific. Here's my tip: Drop off your skis/etc at the turnabout and then go park your car. The parking lot is MILES from the lifts; there is supposedly a shuttle service, but I never saw one.

Listen to Joe above. No need for lift tickets in the beginner area. My 4 year old boy loved it and had 2 great half day lessons, great instructors. Great tree skiing with looks like some future expansion into the Gladed ski runs. Would love to see some high speed chairs in the back side. Meadows chair lift was a little different and I think scary for the average skier.

If this is your first time and you are going to be on the beginner hill, do not buy a lift ticket....spent 100 bucks for 2 lift tix for my girlfriend and I and she stayed on the beginner hill the whole time and I did for the majority of the day and come to find out after buying the lift tix we didnt need them for that hill....waste of money!!!! Boyne was awesome though I would go again, but pretty pricey :)

The 12-hour lift ticket is a great deal. The opportunity to use the pass at both Boyne Mountain AND Boyne Highlands makes it very appealing. These are two of the premier ski resorts in Michigan. Have fun!
