Liftopia is great way to find discounts. Hint - pack up that crock pot with your favorite chili or soup! That is the way many families did it, but it is a bit maddening when we tried to find a place to chill and saw all those picnic tables 'commandeered' by them. The greens are filled with first timers, so if you want to bomb the hill, hit some blues and your stress level will diminish. Good time!

Please!!! Let's keep this place all to our selves.......stop telling ur friends! And don't whine about lift lines,,, split up and use singles line. It's hot-laps-per-hour on the cheapest pass in town.. >.

Great place to take your family! Staff is friendly and prices are quite reasonable (even more so with Liftopia deals) Despite the dismal winter, the staff has done a fabulous job at getting the hills in great shape! Runs are long and varied - something for everyone! View from the top of Smiling' Irishman is awesome!

Awesome terrain. Awesome season pass price. Hills are big. Loved the atmosphere (not commercialized & surrounded by nothing but National Forest). Beautiful.
Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone.... Lift lines were short, I'd like to keep it that way.

This place reminds me of a family-owned, mom and pop style ski resort. It's nothing fancy, but has all of the features you need for a great day on the slopes. The liftees and ski patrolees are extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the pub is awesome (I HIGHLY recommend the Pub Grilled Cheese), and the instructors are really patient and have a great sense of humor. I come from Soutwestern Michigan where our ski slopes are short, so getting up to Caberfae where the runs are long and vary was a real great treat! I will be back soon!!!

Back in the day, we all learned with tow ropes but, a MAGIC CARPET is so much easier when teaching your 3 year old. I hope Caberfae considers adding a magic carpet soon!
Great value, great skiing, good size for a family with young children.

We skiied on President's Day with about ten inches of fresh snow. The Bowl area is not groomed and it was a blast making fresh tracks.

My wife and I skied 2 days and stayed one night at the makenzie lodge. It's a great place for some pretty cheap skiing. Try to go mid week seeing as there are sometimes (literally) bus loads of people (mainly kids and 1st time skiers) on Fridays and Saturdays. Not a bad place but it can get a little boring if you're there for more than one day. The back lift was usually not as busy and if you're a good skier it has more advanced and faster runs.

Decent skiing for the price. Can get very crowded when the high school teams compete.

Super Fun time at CaberFae. I ski Nubs, both Boynes and would put CaberFae up there with all of them

Went skiing on the coldest day so far this year, Friday - Jan 21st. Was a madhouse with youth groups and college night ($9). Not sure Caberfae grooms because there was lots o'ice. Found the crowds and icy conditions rather disappointing which is not typically the case at Caberfae.
