I love June Mt...I Visited on Tuesday March 13, the mountain really needed a good coat of Snow, but in the past when they have the snow it is an awesome mt....I consider it he Dear Valley of the Sierra.....Terrain Wise, Lots of open and uncrowded slopes......sneak away from Mammoth on a Saturday and enjoy the wide uncroweded slopes....Last Tuesday there were probably about 30-40 people on the mountain for the whole day.......escape the craziness of Mammoth and enjoy June

Chains, not just in the car but ON the car, were required for the drive to June Mountain. This was a MAJOR inconvenience as the road had been freshly plowed, and our car did not care for the chain-pavement experience.
