It is a pretty small mountain, but the staff very helpful and friendly. The price was great. The quad lifts are nice and we didn't have to wait in line.

been skiing all my life and used to live at Incline so I know the area well but haven't been for 20 years...very windy the other day and I knew that Rose would be horrible and "Ski Incline" as us oldtimers know it, is sheltered and would be fine..Homewood is another one to go to on a windy day...people were so nice, the backside was a blast, the Crystal Express is awsome..and the prices - I got a beer at the Snoflake for a buck!!! No ski area in America sells a beer for a buck...the vertical there is 1800 feet, as much as Alpine and four hundred more than Rose. Wish they were a thousand feet higher but you can't have it all...great place - I'll be back.

Great time. Great value for the cost of the ticket. Good family mountain as there are multiple levels feeding common lifts. My son enjoyed the terrain parks. He is intermediate snow boarder. We would come back.

First of all, buy your lift tickets from Liftopia for a great price but be sure to do it in advance of your arrival date. If you decide to leave your equipment at home due to airline baggage costs, show your airplane boarding pass to get 50% off of first day equipment rental rates. My best friend and I had a great time at Diamond Peak. We had never even heard of it until a week before our arrival but we were pleasantly surprised. We're both intermediate level skiers and really enjoyed the blue runs. The staff was friendly, the shuttle, ticketing and rental services were amazing, the powder was plentiful and the views of Lake Tahoe from the top of the mountain were spectacular. We've already planned on meeting there again next March for our annual ski vacation. Four thumbs up!!!

Good for kids.

As a second time beginner I didn't care for Diamond Peak very much. The School Yard run was way too short and flat and the Lodge Pole run was a little too advanced for my skill set. More variety for a beginner would have been nice, but unfortunately the beginner terrain is severely limited. While it's true the views were breathtaking the only way to see them was a ride to the top where a beginner like me had no place going. Fortunately for me the staff at Diamond Peak was outstanding. Jenna ( I believe that was her name) basically gave me a personal escort/ski lesson the entire way down Crystal Ridge.

THIS IS AN AWESOME FAMILY PLACE. MY 3 AND 5 YEAR OLD HAD A PLACE. THE FIRST TIME WE WENT, WE PUT THE KIDS IN SKI SCHOOL AND FELT THAT WAS A GREAT DEAL. THE SECOND TIME SKI SCHOOL WAS FILLED BY THE TIME WE GOT THEIR BUT MY BEGINNING CHILDREN HAD A GREAT TIME ON THE "BUNNY" HILL BUT HERE IS THE THING, DP HAS THIS AWESOME BEGINNER SLOPE THAT MAKES MY 5 YEAR OLD FEEL LIKE HE IS SKIING THE BIG MOUNTAIN, BUT ALSO MAKES HIM FEEL REALLY SUCCESSFUL. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK.

Diamond Peak is a true diamond in the rough gem for Tahoe area skiing. I found it less crowded than the more touristy mountains, and you simply cannot beat the view from the summit.
written Feb 22 2012 - 08:59 AM
Great views from the mountain. A great place for intermediate skiers and riders. Also it is a good size for famlies and meet up.
Got a coupon for a free beer in town so that was even more of a plus!

Can't beat the Liftopia price of lift ticket and lunch!! Great day--lots of sun and the groomed runs were in very good shape considering the lack of real snow. I think the food at the Snowflake Lodge at the top of the Lodgepole lift is the BEST of all of the ski resorts---fabulous soups and chili and sliders!! Make sure to take in the Happy Hour before your last run of the day-- for $1 beers and the fabulous view!!

Staff was pleasant, price was great, snow conditions were good.
The food court was dirty.

This was our second ski trip to Diamond Peak and we really had a great time. Both times the weather had been cloudy with snow showers but all was good. Even with the lack of snow, coverage was very good (no damage to our skies). We look forward to skiing at Diamond Peak in the near future. Hopefully we'll have sunny skies next time. lol...

Very reasonable priced ski resort. would love to come back

The views and vibes are great! Head to the Snowflake Lodge at the top of LodgePole Lift from 2-4 for an unbelievable happy hour, including $1 beers.

Diamond is a nice hill. Small. Friendly staff. Quality skies and boot rental. I feel bad for them for the lack of snow. When you rent from Liftopia ski and rental you can only rent the skies boots and pools for the mountain. Diamond has two rental shops. One at the mountain and one at the Hyatt. Diamond has a dumb policy ( to me ) is that they make you rent only at their mountain rental . So if you are staying at the Hyatt and rent gear to go to Northstar one day and want to keep the same boots, ski's and polls for the next day at Diamond with the Diamond package; you have to return the skis to Hyatt and re-rent the gear again. A small inconvenience

My family really enjoyed. It had a great little run to learn to snowboard. Will definitely go back.

Diamond Peak is our fav ski resort. We LOVE this place. Too bad that they will close after April 24th. Otherwise we would spend a week during breaks at Diamond Peak. Beautiful resort, beautiful discounted prices from Liftopia. Thank you.

OMG the views are spectacualr ... the snow was great. I will go back! loved the express chair got to the top super fast. snowflake lodge is great to get away from the crowd and sip on a tasty beer or partake in happy hour! and the big n juicy burger well worth the money.
written Apr 05 2011 - 02:37 PM
Diamond peak has some of the best views of Lake Tahoe and Nevada
written Apr 04 2011 - 10:13 AM
Great as always. As a Carson City "local" with a decent sized family having various skill levels, the place is close and offers something for everyone. The views rock too!!
written Mar 31 2011 - 08:13 PM
Had a great time there. It's small, but has great terrain. It has some great long runs. The price was very good. I skied most of the runs there, They were all good. My only complaint would be that they wern't running all chairs. There was plenty of snow for them to be running. I will be back there to ski.
written Mar 29 2011 - 09:46 AM
What an amazing deal. $25 bucks??? are you kidding me. We skied powder and had lunch at the snowflake lodge. Great skiing
written Mar 26 2011 - 12:11 PM
Had an awesome (and affordable) time on the slopes. Loved the variety of blue runs and the gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe. Terrain park could be better if they added more small jumps.
written Mar 19 2011 - 07:12 PM
I heard great things about the resort, but when we showed up, the whole resort was shutdown due to power outage!!! That means no lifts running and we were told that the power outage can last anywhere from 4 hours upto 8 days! We were at heavenly before, and drove down and booked hotel in incline village especially for diamond peak - so all that was useless waste of money. The staff seemed friendly, but it is a tiny resort and we were extremely frustuated that they don't even have a backup generator. You will not experience this at heavely, sqauw or any other big resorts. So bottom line, keep in mind that there is a risk that the whole resort could be shutdown anytime when there is lot of snow.
written Mar 18 2011 - 02:40 PM
Great place to learn. Staff is friendly for the most part, although I did encounter a very rude person working at the lifts at the bunny slope/School House run. I still have trouble with the lifts and move rather slow, and this guy was being impatient and told my boyfriend and I that we need to move faster. Someone really need to remind that guy where he was stationed at - the lowest green run. Other than that rude incident, everything else has been pleasant. Great mountain and a beautiful view of the lake up at the top of Snowflake Lodge, although I hear at the summit it's even more spectacular. Oh, and the food at the lodge isn't too expensive either which was a surprise. I've been here 3 times already and would come back again and again.
written Mar 16 2011 - 04:27 PM
Very good scenic runs! Nice price on liftopia, and Diamond Peak gives another 50% discount if you show them the flight boarding pass to Reno. I'm very happy being here except that Lake View lift paused server times.
written Mar 14 2011 - 03:36 PM
Areal windy day, they didn't open the highest lift 'til the last run of the day. The rest of the resort is protected from the wind. This is a nice family resort where you can feel safe letting your kids go off on their own(well if you have at least 2 kids). Great views of Lake Tahoe
written Mar 12 2011 - 03:01 PM
In spite of the fog and flat light our experience to Diamond Peak was all good. Great groomed runs, friendly staff, beautiful lodge, and excellent views of Lake Tahoe. My lady Debbie loved it. We will definitely be back.
written Mar 08 2011 - 09:59 PM
We had a great time! Weather was perfect and the conditions were just as great! Nice and laid back atmosphere. Will definately go there again.
written Mar 08 2011 - 11:12 AM
Great!
Can't complain anything about Diamond Peak since they got the view and soft natural powders!
Just sittin' on top of the mountain n looking down the Lake gives you great sence of journey.
It is worth every penny.
However, if u r into snowboarding that you wanna stay as long as u can... Then you should be looking for Boreal since the lift at Diamond Peak close around 4pm.
Overall, Diamond Peak is one of the best ever.

My wife and I love the laid back vibe at Diamond Peak and the views are awesome. Don't miss the great deal on a Tahoe Tonic during happy hour at the Snowflake Lodge!
written Mar 07 2011 - 08:57 PM
Great resort nestled into the Tahoe area mtns. After boarding/skiing at resorts around the Western States, this is a great place to beat crowds, annoying and out-of-control speedsters. Great place with world class views, and terrain for all types. Runs are long and lines are short.
written Mar 07 2011 - 03:06 PM
My wife and I enjoyed our visit at Diamond Peak. We love the views of Lake Tahoe. The mid mountain Snow Flake Lodge is a must. Sit out on the deck and have lunch. Also check out Last Tracks held on Saturdays. Tickets sell out in advance so buy early.
written Mar 05 2011 - 06:44 AM
Great place for families with young kids. Also, parking is limited but they do run a shuttle to get you to the lodge. You can actually ski down to your car when your done instead of waiting for the shuttle which does get crowded on the weekends.
written Mar 02 2011 - 08:15 AM
I've been coming up to Incline Village for years and love Diamond Peak. It offers some fast, groom runs, some great powder skiing in the trees, and the BEST VIEW of LAKE TAHOE!
written Mar 01 2011 - 08:20 PM
good grooming and service facilities, it is a shame they do not run 'ridge' and 'red fox' chairs on the weekends, the rental shop needs to be in the new skier services building at the base area...
written Mar 01 2011 - 08:04 PM
Fantastic view from Crystal Ridge. Only one hi-speed lift, but mid-week lines were short so it was OK. Great for families w/young kids. Less crowded than Northstar!
written Feb 28 2011 - 07:09 PM
Great price and super convenient if you are staying in Incline village. Despite only having 1 high speed lift, you can get a ton of runs in. Short waits for the most part mid-week. Staff was friendly and helpful. Recommend the barbecue for lunch. Food and drink reasonably priced.
written Feb 26 2011 - 12:22 AM
Nice little mellow resort, friendly staff, affordable lessons, great view. Also, Diamond Peak has a great deal for pass holders of other resorts. Show your other season pass and get a $25 lift ticket.
written Feb 21 2011 - 08:15 PM
Better views and less crowded than Heavenly. Love it!
written Feb 21 2011 - 02:05 PM
Had an amazing time! The views from the top cannot be beat. Great for family skiing.
written Feb 17 2011 - 12:51 PM
Diamond Peak is a hidden gem in Tahoe! Great family ski resort. Instructors are great. Runs nicely maintained. Friendly staff. Easy and close parking. Lodge is beautiful and easy to access from ski runs. Fabulous, stunning views of Lake Tahoe from the top!!!ivertio

This is diffidently a family place.
Lots of fun. Conditions were a poor with all the warm weather. Nothing they could do about that.
Friendly staff, good food, a fun time.
Will go back with kids and good conditions.
written Feb 08 2011 - 03:36 PM
We ski Diamond Peak every year with 3 other couples, school days friends. Not an 'in and groovey' resort, but a family place.
Snowflake Lodge (mid mountain) is the place to hang out for break time and enjoy the views over the lake. After a bit to eat and drink, you have a choice of Least Difficult to Black Diamonds to glide back to the base lodge.
We love it!
written Feb 08 2011 - 11:09 AM
Great views of Lake Tahoe! My 6 year old took a beginner lesson for 2 hours and was on the intermediate with me after. Instructors were awesome! The mountain was wide open on Friday. We had a great time.
written Feb 07 2011 - 10:04 AM
Diamond peak is the best place to snowboard in all of Tahoe region! It is tricky to find but that means not all the tourists are there! Sweet views of Lake Tahoe with a beer to go with!!!
written Feb 04 2011 - 02:52 PM
My husband and son went on a Monday. Absolutely fantastic service with the friendliest staff. My husband signed our son up for a snowboard lesson and he ended up with a one on one 2 hour session for 100 bucks including his gear. Our son is 5 1/2 and had only had one other lesson the day before at another resort. The views are beautiful and we got a killer deal through liftopia.com. This resort his a hidden gem in North Lake and you will find it to be fun for the whole family.
written Feb 02 2011 - 12:42 PM
My husband and I went on Friday and we enjoyed it. The view at the top was amazing and it wasn't crowded. Also the snow condition was fine considering it hadn't snowed in a while.
written Feb 01 2011 - 09:24 PM
Had a great time this weekend at Diamond Peak - the view from the top of the Crystal Lift is spectacular - all of the staff were super friendly and the price and terrain are great - definitely would recommend!! Had a very easy time picking up tickets with Liftopia!
written Feb 01 2011 - 02:34 PM
Had a great day on Saturday. Maintenance of runs very good considering hadn't snowed in weeks. Lakeview run best quality snow we found.
Snowflake lodge may have the best hamburgers in Tahoe basin. Kobe beef and prepared perfectly.
written Feb 01 2011 - 01:44 PM
I've been Skiing at Diamond Peak for years and enjoy the views and varying terrain available.
Always enjoy the mountain and friendly people.
written Feb 01 2011 - 09:42 AM
We skied mid-week and it was practically empty so we got tons of skiing in. The all day lessons for the kids are an amazing value and out two kids 4 and 6 had a fantastic time!
written Jan 22 2011 - 06:29 PM
For a small resort there is a good variety of terrain. The schoolhouse run is great for the youngest kids or the most tepid beginner while Crystal Express provides access to long advanced/intermediate runs. When the right conditions exist, Solitude Canyon provides excellent tree skiing. Lake views are amazing from the Snowflake Lodge at the top of the Lakeview chair. Nice people and updated facilities.
written Jan 18 2011 - 03:38 PM
the carpet system for loading on 'lodgepole' and 'lakeview' chairs is very dangerous and 'out of date' a detachable triple chair would be much safer in these two locations and a more efficient system for loading guests on these chairs... a serious injury will happen one day on these carpets...
written Jan 17 2011 - 07:12 PM
not running the 'ridge chair' on a long weekend was a very poor decision by management... the 'lakeview run' is the next progresion for a intermediate skier after 'lodgepole run' 'freeway' is a family run and very crowded i my take my family to another resort next year because of this problem...
written Jan 17 2011 - 07:00 PM
The views of the lake are just amazing from Diamond Peak. The resort is very accomodating and the nice thing is that all of the lifts converge at one place. Also an easy place to park. We really enjoyed it.
written Jan 16 2011 - 03:26 PM
I went on a Thursday and there were zero lines. It's a great mountain with stunning views of Lake Tahoe from the top. The snow was quite good even though it hadn't laid any fresh for a while. The runs were nicely maintained and challenging enough to keep me entertained. As long as you can come when it's not too crowded, this place is awesome.
written Jan 15 2011 - 04:41 PM
My family (husband and 5 kids) really enjoyed Diamond Peak. We skiied 5 midweek days and there were no lines at all. My kids are all at different levels, 2 tried snowboarding for the first time after years of skiing. Everyone mastered their choice during the time we were there.
written Jan 15 2011 - 03:33 PM
My husband and skied at Diamond Peak on Sunday and had the perfect day all around! Friendly workers and riders, great snow conditions, and lots of variety for such a small resort. Our son tried to go to Sierra-at-Tahoe that same day and turned back around because of the crowds. We didn't wait in one lift line all day and really enjoyed the mountain.
written Jan 11 2011 - 02:53 PM
Great family ski resort. The staff was great and truly seemed to enjoy working with the kids. Diamond Peak has been a long time family favorite and it continues to get better. Parking is easy and mid-week crowds are minimal. We never waited in line for a lift and prices are fair. Diamond Peak still sits on top of our list of favorite spots.
written Jan 07 2011 - 08:38 PM
My family and I loved this resort. It was a full filled 2 days of snowboarding. We were there December 22-23rd.
My biggest complaint is their organization of their children's program.
Drop off was crazy but pick up was horrific!
written Jan 06 2011 - 09:21 PM
Bang for buck this area has the best access to advanced intermediate skiing in the Tahoe area. 5 great varied fall line runs off of a high speed quad with fabulous views of the lake. I dare you wont have enough thighs to ski this place out in one day.
written Jan 06 2011 - 12:39 PM
I like it here, not overly crowded as the other resorts. My husband is a beginner and he was able to learn hot board better at this resort.
written Jan 04 2011 - 08:27 PM
It's a good place for beginner skier like me. Green area can be crowded. If there would be a place for little kids playing snow will be more family friendly.
written Jan 04 2011 - 02:57 PM
Ive been snowboading for a while now and had to introduce my friends. GREAT place for beginners and the price cant be beat but not as large as some of the other resorts, like i said its geared for beginners and families
written Jan 03 2011 - 02:03 PM
I've been going here for years and just brought my boyfriend who is a beginner skiier. It's a good place for families which means it can get pretty crowded, especially on the main green run. If you have a beginner skier get them on Freeway, it's a blue but pretty nice and gets you away from the crowds.
written Jan 03 2011 - 08:44 AM
They have done quite a few improvements over this past year, however, their computer system was not one of them. Their computers were down for over 2 hours on the 30th, causing a HUGE delay for everyone. Diamond Peak is more of a "beginners'" resort. Most of their runs do not compare to the runs at the larger resorts in the area, but a great "warm-up" for those on their first run of the season
written Jan 02 2011 - 08:54 PM
Avoid this "resort" at all cost on weekends or holidays. Frankly, I had the worst skiing experience ever at Diamond Peak. My family and I regularly ski and board in the North Tahoe area and we will never visit this resort again. It was SUPER overcrowded and the conditions were dangerous due to the excessive number of skiers. We skied one run and left - eating the cost of 3 lift tickets for one miserable run. Another skier crashed into my friend and struck her in the face with a pole. Be forewarned that the runs are narrow and the blue runs quite steep despite their rating.
written Jan 01 2011 - 06:47 PM
On a busy day expect to have to take the shuttle to and from the overflow parking lot. This can take 30 min or more each trip depending on how long the lines are. It would be nice if they increase the frequency of buses on busy days.
written Jan 01 2011 - 03:33 PM
It was my second time to Diamond Peak ski resort. I like the place very much. The staffs are friendly. The beginner's ski trail is quite long and easy to ski. The lift ticket for beginner trail is less than half than the regular lift tickets. It's quite a saving.
written Dec 29 2010 - 12:17 PM
This is my first time skiing, so I don't have any clue about the ski sport.
written Mar 26 2010 - 02:18 PM
I rode Diamond Peak for the first time last season and was impressed. For a little resort hidden away in the middle of Incline Village, they have a lot to offer. The Tree runs in Solitude Canyon and under Crystal Express are really fun and empty - even on a powder day.
Also, the custom stuffed baked potatoes in the lodge are a must try!
