Love the option Diamond Peak offers where parents can share a lift ticket - works great for grandparents so one ski's 1/2 day with kids and the other ski's the other half....kids have more energy than Grandparents have stamina!

Diamond Peak is a hidden treasure that is relatively affordable. The views of Lake Tahoe are spectacular! Views toward the Reno basin are also quite amazing. Since it is quite low elevation it is best to go early. It was pretty slushy by 1pm. The staff are friendly and very helpful. All in all this little mountain is a great find for some fun tree skiing and pleasant runs with not too much flat at the bottom.

One of the best views and the longest ski runs in the LakeTahoe area. Less than half of what you pay in nearby Northstar. Easily access to the park lot. I would ski hard for half a day and ski straight down to my trunk for lunch, then go back to the slope. I used to ski in Kirkwood. But this place is now my favorite, period!

Great ski hill for all levels. I skied here 5 days this season. Ticket prices are fantastic and worth every $. Look online for specials or go to Costco. Beginner package is amazing $119 for 3 days of lessons, rentals, and beginner lift ticket plus they have a deal after you complete the 3 days you may be eligible for a 4th day of ticket and rentals! My friend was a beginner and did the $119 package and had an amazing experience. I am (was) an advanced skier and found enough terrain to keep me entertained. Mid-week is amazing- no lift lines, very friendly staff and fellow skiers, and great snow. Honestly, this is my favorite little gem in Tahoe. I recommended Diamond Peak to my brother who is an advanced skier, his wife snow boards, and they have two young kids who are learning to ski- honestly it is the perfect mountain for this type of diversity in a group!

My wife and I both really enjoy Diamond Peak. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are some good runs with just enough steepness to be challenging but not terrifying. Be sure to catch happy hour at the Snow Flake Lodge, the view is stunning and the drinks are a bargain. We have skied at every resort in the Lake Tahoe area and Diamond Peak is one of our favorites

A very small mountain but deceptively steep. You can ski the entire mountain in 2 hours. Due to the lower elevation I only recommend going to Diamond Peak on powder days.

A win-win-win -- Great value! Great conditions! Great weather! If I hadn't found the $42 Monday deal to ski Diamond Peak, I probably would've skipped skiing that day (best price at nearby Mt Rose was $94). Had an AMAZING day at the Peak! I never tire of the views of Lake Tahoe from Crystal Ridge (arguably the best views of the Lake from any resort). With the mountain 100% open, we weren't lacking for challenging terrain. We skied from 9:30am - 1:30pm, and only hit a couple of runs more than 1 time. TIP #1: follow Crystal Ridge almost all the way to the end for the hidden treasure, Luggi's run. TIP #2: Active Military skis FREE Mon-Fri with valid ID! (my companion took advantage of this that day.) Hope to get up there a few more times this season. Thanks, Liftopia and Diamond Peak for the great rate to keep skiing affordable for the middle class!

We had intermediate and advanced skiers although the mountain is equally set up for beginners. We "happened upon" Diamond Peak but actually thought it had nice, had short challenging runs (enough to challenge without burning out your legs). It is a great and inexpensive alternative to skiing when you want a break from long lines, crowds and high prices. Views are spectacular (on ski's or during lunch). We used liftopia and found a sweet deal for a day. We will ski there again. It is also even a better deal if you are a local!

Great family ski area with casual, friendly atmosphere. I enjoy the faster runs, while my 6 year old daughter was going down an intermediate run after four lessons - great school! Get there early for parking very close to the lifts - Cafe opens around 8:30am for breakfast and coffee. Lifts open to non-ski team folks at 9am. Use your iPhone to redeem your nicely-discounted lift tickets at the Customer Service window (to the left of the main ticket window) - avoid the lines! Pull up your Order History with the Liftopia app, select the date, and the bar codes show up. Tap a bar code to fill the screen for easy scanning. We didn't rent, but found the Rental Dept. very helpful. They rented us ski poles (we forgot to bring ours,) for $5 each, and they even heated our boots so we could get into them, after we left them in a cold car overnight (Pro tip: Don't do that.) They can also give good advice about current run conditions. The food is good and pricing OK - $11 for a cheeseburger/fries, for example, and a couple of dollars more up at the Snowflake Lodge (but the views up there are killer, and the burger and salad choices more interesting.) We've been here many times and would go again. Lift prices are not too high, parking is easy if you get there early, and the runs and views are fun. Great place to learn - the beginner run, Lodgepole, is pretty long and varied, and doesn't get too boring with multiple rides. The many intermediate runs are fast and fun, and when the snow is good, the expert runs are fast.

Great place to take the grandkids ages 8, 11, and 13 for learning to ski. Don't bother renting equipment at home, it's only $10 more than the all day lift with hot lunch ski scout school which is a big deal. However, DP charges $10 more for helmet, but really, for a beginning to learn to ski kid, it's not necessary. Also, if you are skiing midweek, the locals lunch is a terrific ski ticket deal....you arrive at 11am and ski until 2pm which is plenty with no lift lines. Ticket cost is $25 and you get a $10 voucher to boot for lunch! What a deal! You do not have to be a resident for this deal. It was ideal for us because we're in our late 50's and that was plenty of skiing with no lift lines.

Great ski resort for families. Despite the lack of snow, the resort is making snow which provides for some great runs. The Liftopia deals are the best. I paid $57 for a two day lift ticket during the week. It does not get any better than that.

Great day of skiing/snowboarding with the kids. The snowmaking capacity made for great runs, when some other resorts had very little snow. Warning- If you need to rent equipment, return it asap when you are done or you will end up standing in line for an hour just to do the return! Not a fun way to end a great day!

Fewer lifts open than advertised and no explanation. Lift crew are inexperienced and untrained so lines and waits are longer than necessary even when it was not busy. For first long weekend at season open their service and lift options were disappointing despite good powder. Nearby Squaw and Alpine had more lifts open and well worth the additional cost. I'm not likely to go back there soon.

Diamond Peak rocks. I love their beginner lift even though I'm more of a beginner/intermediate. TIP: The last Friday of March is called your non-birthday birthday. If your birthday is in their off season, you can ski for FREE, that's right FREE on this day only. For all others, you ski free ON your birthday. I wish Liftopia would've alerted me to that when I purchased my tickets, it would've been the right thing to do.

Went on a Friday with 3 beginners. The beginners bought the beginner lift tickets ($29 at DP) and I used liftopia to save a little. Considering the lack of fresh snow, there was plenty of coverage and could ski constant with out a wait. The upper lifts are fast to get you to the top. Our beginners planned to stay on the easy runs which turned out to be only lodgepole since school house is just a little too flat. If renting, save some $ by renting in town at somewhere like Villiage Ski Loft. Cheaper and high quality service. Staff were all friendly at DP so I would go again without hesitation.

On 1/27, 1/28 Squaw valley had only red dog and one other chair open to very icy trail. DP made enough snow to well cover both trail to top with a little loose snow on top of hard pack.. It is much more value and enjoyment. The view on top of ridge is similar to Homewood and Heavenly. The lift ticket including a beer in village is very unusual offer.

I was disappointed with Diamond Peak. The other family we were with were beginners and there was only one partially green (beginners) run. It was partial because there were two blue portions in between the green runs. The majority of the green run was a narrow trail that had combination slushy and icy snow. It was rather boring for them to ski the same run all day. WARNING: if you bought the Costco gift cards for Diamond Peak, the Snowflake Lodge on top of the Lakeview Quad chair lift WILL NOT ACCEPT these gift cards. Apparently, it's in small print on the gift card. This lodge is not part of Diamond Peak but has decent food and a view. We had to scramble to spend the remaining balance of the gift card at the cafeteria right before they closed as we decided we will not return to this place.

I went 2/8/14 and it was snowing all day. Wet snow, but still, it's snow. Definitely need to go back to see the view of the lake! The clouds and fog were keeping the view hidden. The staff is great, and there's also a cute lift operator at the top of Lakeview named Kwana. Should have got her number...but oh yeah, the mountain! It was windy up top, but definitely go here. Great runs, snow, and views (so I've heard). :) And a great price!

The place was sublime. I loved it. The 2m run from top to bottom with stunning views of the lake was a winner ! Lots of blue runs, only a few blacks open, but that view never got old. Everything about the mountain was easy. No lines, parking close to the slopes. Just loved it. There was enough snow. I understand there hasn't been much recently, but there was more than enough 3 days of lovely skiing.

I probably don't go back until they have enough snow. most of the good runs were closed. not enough signs to guide you. I end up going to a run that wasn't groomed ski on rocks. to many snow making machines couldn't even see where I was going. not enough natural snow. they shouldn't had the place open.

I probably wouldn't go to Diamond Peak again under spring conditions. The only have one lift that takes you to the upper lift and it broke down. Since there are no bathroom, or food and water off of the upper lift, this meant we had to stay there until we had to were driven by biology and hunger to the bottom of the hill.

A very good value is delivered by Diamond Peak, very pleasant people, good food and very easy access, i.e. you can easily walk from the no-charge parking lot, lockers are .75 and the runs are in good shape. I went to three ski resorts on this trip, Diamond Peak was the smallest in scale but the variety kept us engage for the day. This was also the best value in the North Shore of Tahoe.

Customer service is KING @ DP. Airlines sent my snbd bag to Atlanta , funny thing, our other 3 bags made it to Reno, but I digress. So no gear but I do have a lift ticket, DP staff let me swap it for the next day ( minus the $12 lunch credit) It was a Win for both parties. In the past DP also found, on the slopes, my cel phone. Returned to me at their cost, awesome.

Smaller resort but plenty for the beginner to intermediate skier. Advanced skier has several runs available, but may get bored by the end of the day, which is when its time to challenge yourself with Solitude. Views of Lake Tahoe are the best, especially at the end of the day as the sun is setting. Bought tickets through Liftopia and thought $40 was a good value. No crowd at all, which meant no wait in the lines.

You can get there as early as possible. For the king's weekend, Diamond Peak allows us to get on lift even before 8:15AM, which was the time we reached the parking lot. And they kept lifts (lake view and lodge quad) open until 4:30PM.

been skiing all my life and used to live at Incline so I know the area well but haven't been for 20 years...very windy the other day and I knew that Rose would be horrible and "Ski Incline" as us oldtimers know it, is sheltered and would be fine..Homewood is another one to go to on a windy day...people were so nice, the backside was a blast, the Crystal Express is awsome..and the prices - I got a beer at the Snoflake for a buck!!! No ski area in America sells a beer for a buck...the vertical there is 1800 feet, as much as Alpine and four hundred more than Rose. Wish they were a thousand feet higher but you can't have it all...great place - I'll be back.

First of all, buy your lift tickets from Liftopia for a great price but be sure to do it in advance of your arrival date. If you decide to leave your equipment at home due to airline baggage costs, show your airplane boarding pass to get 50% off of first day equipment rental rates. My best friend and I had a great time at Diamond Peak. We had never even heard of it until a week before our arrival but we were pleasantly surprised. We're both intermediate level skiers and really enjoyed the blue runs. The staff was friendly, the shuttle, ticketing and rental services were amazing, the powder was plentiful and the views of Lake Tahoe from the top of the mountain were spectacular. We've already planned on meeting there again next March for our annual ski vacation. Four thumbs up!!!

As a second time beginner I didn't care for Diamond Peak very much. The School Yard run was way too short and flat and the Lodge Pole run was a little too advanced for my skill set. More variety for a beginner would have been nice, but unfortunately the beginner terrain is severely limited. While it's true the views were breathtaking the only way to see them was a ride to the top where a beginner like me had no place going. Fortunately for me the staff at Diamond Peak was outstanding. Jenna ( I believe that was her name) basically gave me a personal escort/ski lesson the entire way down Crystal Ridge.

Diamond is a nice hill. Small. Friendly staff. Quality skies and boot rental. I feel bad for them for the lack of snow. When you rent from Liftopia ski and rental you can only rent the skies boots and pools for the mountain. Diamond has two rental shops. One at the mountain and one at the Hyatt. Diamond has a dumb policy ( to me ) is that they make you rent only at their mountain rental . So if you are staying at the Hyatt and rent gear to go to Northstar one day and want to keep the same boots, ski's and polls for the next day at Diamond with the Diamond package; you have to return the skis to Hyatt and re-rent the gear again. A small inconvenience

Great! Can't complain anything about Diamond Peak since they got the view and soft natural powders! Just sittin' on top of the mountain n looking down the Lake gives you great sence of journey. It is worth every penny. However, if u r into snowboarding that you wanna stay as long as u can... Then you should be looking for Boreal since the lift at Diamond Peak close around 4pm. Overall, Diamond Peak is one of the best ever.

My wife and I love the laid back vibe at Diamond Peak and the views are awesome. Don't miss the great deal on a Tahoe Tonic during happy hour at the Snowflake Lodge!

Great resort nestled into the Tahoe area mtns. After boarding/skiing at resorts around the Western States, this is a great place to beat crowds, annoying and out-of-control speedsters. Great place with world class views, and terrain for all types. Runs are long and lines are short.

My wife and I enjoyed our visit at Diamond Peak. We love the views of Lake Tahoe. The mid mountain Snow Flake Lodge is a must. Sit out on the deck and have lunch. Also check out Last Tracks held on Saturdays. Tickets sell out in advance so buy early.

Great place for families with young kids. Also, parking is limited but they do run a shuttle to get you to the lodge. You can actually ski down to your car when your done instead of waiting for the shuttle which does get crowded on the weekends.

I've been coming up to Incline Village for years and love Diamond Peak. It offers some fast, groom runs, some great powder skiing in the trees, and the BEST VIEW of LAKE TAHOE!

good grooming and service facilities, it is a shame they do not run 'ridge' and 'red fox' chairs on the weekends, the rental shop needs to be in the new skier services building at the base area...

Fantastic view from Crystal Ridge. Only one hi-speed lift, but mid-week lines were short so it was OK. Great for families w/young kids. Less crowded than Northstar!

Great price and super convenient if you are staying in Incline village. Despite only having 1 high speed lift, you can get a ton of runs in. Short waits for the most part mid-week. Staff was friendly and helpful. Recommend the barbecue for lunch. Food and drink reasonably priced.

Nice little mellow resort, friendly staff, affordable lessons, great view. Also, Diamond Peak has a great deal for pass holders of other resorts. Show your other season pass and get a $25 lift ticket.

This is diffidently a family place. Lots of fun. Conditions were a poor with all the warm weather. Nothing they could do about that. Friendly staff, good food, a fun time. Will go back with kids and good conditions.

We ski Diamond Peak every year with 3 other couples, school days friends. Not an 'in and groovey' resort, but a family place. Snowflake Lodge (mid mountain) is the place to hang out for break time and enjoy the views over the lake. After a bit to eat and drink, you have a choice of Least Difficult to Black Diamonds to glide back to the base lodge. We love it!

Great views of Lake Tahoe! My 6 year old took a beginner lesson for 2 hours and was on the intermediate with me after. Instructors were awesome! The mountain was wide open on Friday. We had a great time.

Diamond peak is the best place to snowboard in all of Tahoe region! It is tricky to find but that means not all the tourists are there! Sweet views of Lake Tahoe with a beer to go with!!!

My husband and son went on a Monday. Absolutely fantastic service with the friendliest staff. My husband signed our son up for a snowboard lesson and he ended up with a one on one 2 hour session for 100 bucks including his gear. Our son is 5 1/2 and had only had one other lesson the day before at another resort. The views are beautiful and we got a killer deal through liftopia.com. This resort his a hidden gem in North Lake and you will find it to be fun for the whole family.

My husband and I went on Friday and we enjoyed it. The view at the top was amazing and it wasn't crowded. Also the snow condition was fine considering it hadn't snowed in a while.

Had a great day on Saturday. Maintenance of runs very good considering hadn't snowed in weeks. Lakeview run best quality snow we found. Snowflake lodge may have the best hamburgers in Tahoe basin. Kobe beef and prepared perfectly.

We skied mid-week and it was practically empty so we got tons of skiing in. The all day lessons for the kids are an amazing value and out two kids 4 and 6 had a fantastic time!

For a small resort there is a good variety of terrain. The schoolhouse run is great for the youngest kids or the most tepid beginner while Crystal Express provides access to long advanced/intermediate runs. When the right conditions exist, Solitude Canyon provides excellent tree skiing. Lake views are amazing from the Snowflake Lodge at the top of the Lakeview chair. Nice people and updated facilities.

the carpet system for loading on 'lodgepole' and 'lakeview' chairs is very dangerous and 'out of date' a detachable triple chair would be much safer in these two locations and a more efficient system for loading guests on these chairs... a serious injury will happen one day on these carpets...

The views of the lake are just amazing from Diamond Peak. The resort is very accomodating and the nice thing is that all of the lifts converge at one place. Also an easy place to park. We really enjoyed it.

I went on a Thursday and there were zero lines. It's a great mountain with stunning views of Lake Tahoe from the top. The snow was quite good even though it hadn't laid any fresh for a while. The runs were nicely maintained and challenging enough to keep me entertained. As long as you can come when it's not too crowded, this place is awesome.

My family (husband and 5 kids) really enjoyed Diamond Peak. We skiied 5 midweek days and there were no lines at all. My kids are all at different levels, 2 tried snowboarding for the first time after years of skiing. Everyone mastered their choice during the time we were there.

My husband and skied at Diamond Peak on Sunday and had the perfect day all around! Friendly workers and riders, great snow conditions, and lots of variety for such a small resort. Our son tried to go to Sierra-at-Tahoe that same day and turned back around because of the crowds. We didn't wait in one lift line all day and really enjoyed the mountain.

Great family ski resort. The staff was great and truly seemed to enjoy working with the kids. Diamond Peak has been a long time family favorite and it continues to get better. Parking is easy and mid-week crowds are minimal. We never waited in line for a lift and prices are fair. Diamond Peak still sits on top of our list of favorite spots.

My family and I loved this resort. It was a full filled 2 days of snowboarding. We were there December 22-23rd. My biggest complaint is their organization of their children's program. Drop off was crazy but pick up was horrific!

Bang for buck this area has the best access to advanced intermediate skiing in the Tahoe area. 5 great varied fall line runs off of a high speed quad with fabulous views of the lake. I dare you wont have enough thighs to ski this place out in one day.

I like it here, not overly crowded as the other resorts. My husband is a beginner and he was able to learn hot board better at this resort.

It's a good place for beginner skier like me. Green area can be crowded. If there would be a place for little kids playing snow will be more family friendly.

I've been going here for years and just brought my boyfriend who is a beginner skiier. It's a good place for families which means it can get pretty crowded, especially on the main green run. If you have a beginner skier get them on Freeway, it's a blue but pretty nice and gets you away from the crowds.

They have done quite a few improvements over this past year, however, their computer system was not one of them. Their computers were down for over 2 hours on the 30th, causing a HUGE delay for everyone. Diamond Peak is more of a "beginners'" resort. Most of their runs do not compare to the runs at the larger resorts in the area, but a great "warm-up" for those on their first run of the season
