been skiiing this hill for 40 years-since I was a kid The lift ticket price is now outrageous MUCH BETTER SKIING AND PRICE AT BRIANHEAD EVEN IF IT IS A LONGER DRIVE Will be RARE for me to visit this little hill in the future at their prices. Give locals a break-WE BUILT THAT HILL

The first time I skied this joint was 32 years ago. The only thing that has changed is the prices, Wider chair on chairlift #1 and a snowboard park! Look the first time I skied this place it was $16 now it can be in in excess of $55 that's a joke! But with the tourism industry these past 10 years in Vegas people are paying it. Since 2011 I've gone 3 times. If there is plenty of snow (rarely) and you get in your day from the beginning of the day till around 1pm it's worth a one time trip. With so many skiers/borders and so little runs it gets skied off really fast! The main runs will be groomed nice in the morning but by noon or 1pm it's rough! We got our lift tickets discounted online so the whole day for me was around $65 that includes gas, food, lift. I must say, this one trip this year on 3-3-14 was worth it. We got lucky, small crowd, ok snow.

A hidden gem. Great beginner and intermediate. Good park features. Fun freshies in the gullies and trees. Ski in the morning and hit the strip at night!

Way over priced. Machine made snow that gets icy in the afternoon. Lodge is nice - both the bar and the cafeteria. Prices there are typical ski hill prices. Food quality is typical ski hill quality - - - - take a lunch. Staff were friendly, though not really caring when ski buddy was run down by a boarder. Go again? - its a once a year place if it snows. For intermediate+ groomer cruisers, there's only 3 runs. Great for beginners. Lifts are old and look decrepit. Surprised they are certified. No safety bars.

They really need to do something about the prices... Its only worth it if early in the season you buy the early season pass.. I love it cause its so close, but the price for the mtn is more than eagle point, and brianhead... they need a 30 dollar local ticket cause there is only two lifts... was real icey toward the end of the day

Forced to go here for the 3rd weekend in a row Utah was blown out, winds were too heavy once again and Brianhead was shut down. I had a fun time, runs were fast and wasn't too crowded. My friends brought their kids and the kids took lessons, was pricey but they did a good job. Please note LVSSR definitely is not updating their website though, they are still claiming a 46" base, there's maybe a 6" base. Main runs are covered but any area that they aren't blowing on at night it's bare, there's no way in hell they have a 46" base....maybe they are measuring down from top of the jumps? Could be it for LVSSR this year, this coming week is forecasting 70-degree weather in Vegas, unless there's a new storm soon don't waste your money. Utah just got a ton of new snow go there instead.

Half day trip, 12 to 4, is perfect. Long walk with kids from parking lot so be ready to carry gear and for some whining. Very limited runs, and should be called Las Vegas Snowboard and Ski Resort, lots of snowboards and free terrain features. Advanced runs are moderate intermediate for major resorts. Overall, had fun with the kids (beginning, 4 and 6) and would do again given the short 45 minutes from Las Vegas. Cost of tickets are a bit high but offset well against the savings in time and gas to other resorts in CA or UT.

Nate got it right - Saturday was beautiful. Powder was knee deep until it got packed down...and then it got icier. (Word is that it's icy most of the time, unless they get fresh snow.) Beware: a friend's skis were stolen while taking a break. It's a shame you can't trust people.

Went this past Saturday, it dumped all night and the day of, was really fun. LVSSR is close allowing you to get your fix without a long drive. I def recommend only going here rigth after it snows, otherwise it is a glacier and is not worth the money. If conitions are questionable drive another 2 hours and ski Brian Head or Eagle Point; EaglePoint is FREE on Thursdays...!

LV Ski & SB Resort is a great little gem in the desert, if you enjoy Skiing or Snowboarding. Yes, it's small and not a 5-Star Resort, but if you can get over that, you'll enjoy it. We moved to Vegas in 2010 and each year they make changes and upgrades and it continues to get better and better. Yes you could go to Brain Head for the day, but in time it takes to get there and back (6 hr round trip), we can take the kids to LVSSBR and be back home before dinner. Like most things in life...if you have a good attitude about it, you'll more than likely enjoy it. If nothing makes you happy, then you aren't going to enjoy it.

If you are going with someone, have them go to Guest Services first with your liftopia email while you wait on line for rentals. That will save time. Great slope for learning, took my daughter, it was her first time, snow was perfect. Nice day out, and good fun! Staff was really nice and helpful. No don't compare it to Tahoe or Bryan Head, it is what it is and if you go with that thought in mind you will have a fun time! Practice here, then venture on to the big slopes our state and neighboring states have to offer.

I am traditionally a out of bounds/heli freerider. I came with three first timers mid week/Christmas Break. Rental line was very long but moved very quickly. Rental staff was very helpful. Food was fair to average. Comparable to fast food. Bar drinks good with nice bartender. Mountain did not have any black runs open at all. Too much exposure. Very small mountain but was perfect for a quick drive with friends who wanted to get off the strip. Also perfect for people who love green and blue runs. Was a bit fun in the trees because nobody ventures within them. I was very surprised about this itty bitty gem less than an hour from the strip. Make sure you have enough fuel in your vehicle. Road access great no sign of state patrol anywhere.

On paper it has Diamonds but in reality they are not unless you hike and conditions are good. There are no express lifts. This is a bunny hill and needs to open more challenging terrain. The NHP was all over the road so don't speed. All that being said the snow was great with very little ice.

The bowl of Chili was excellent. I recommend while driving up to Ski area, watch your speed cautiously. Had a poor sole pulled over while driving to Ski area. Liftopia is the excellent way to save on rental and lift ticket.

Staff has improved...much more friendly than last time. Tried the $6.50 hamburger...would give it a 4/10...sorry! Snow was actually ok, but the most advanced trail was not groomed and being late in the season it was very heavy to ski. Lifts could have been run a litle faster. Overall a pretty good experience for what it is. Can't wait for the it to expand. PS: caution, on the drive back home it is all downhill and I just let my car roll(didn't touch gas pedal) @ 80 mph...speed limit 55...wouldn't you bloody know it...a freak'n cop had pulled someone over for speeding...REALLY!!! No exist, no homes, no schools no nothing... in the middle of nowere...I don't condone speeding, but knowing me knowing you...we only try to save gas on the way down. Las Vegas Ski Resort, tell the cops to back off...we are trying to support you during the resession and can't wait for you to expand. KJ

Tip: Park on the upper level parking...The lower level gets way too crowded! My daughters all took lessons 2 days this weekend and now they look like snowboarders and skiers. The 6-12 year old group lessons were great and they learned a lot. They had a different instructor both days but liked them both and liked them too. The Snow Tots had too many kids and my youngest spent a lot of time waiting for someone to help her get up after she would fall. The second day she skied with me and learned how not to fall and won many races down the Rabbit Peak. Most runs are blue and black so this mountain is best for intermediate or advanced skiers. We had a lot of fun and will definitely go back soon.

Nice escape from Vegas, gorgeous views from the chairlift and not crowded. My only gripe is that I hadn't been on my board for years and wanted to warm up on some green circles, but this mountain really isn't geared for beginners unless they want to stay on the bunny hill all day. One cool thing about this place is that they have a sweet run with a bunch of jumps and rails if you are into that.

This place is cool. Only a short drive from Vegas. Not crowded, good lifts, small place, but a little something for everyone. I recommend it if you are in the Vegas area and want to get away for some snow fun.

Have plenty of gas before split. Closest station is about 20+ miles away. They do sell gas for 5 gal for $25 though. The prices are strip prices too. Make sure you really wanna ride at a small ace first.
