Nice ski trip last thur and Fri with no lines. A decent amount of snow on the ground considering the low snowfall this year. Watch your speed on the highway back to Tahoe, cops have radar.

Mt. Rose is an awesome mountain for my family's needs. We have two young beginning skiers and we love what this mountain offers for the kids. The instructor's are great, the staff is friendly and the price is RIGHT! Thanks to Mt. Rose and to Liftopia :)

It's first time to Mt Rose, it was an awesome trip with 24" of snow in 12 hours right after I landed. People are great - Thank you Linda :) - I hope to be back in the near future.

Mt.Rose is a great place to ski! Even with it being a poor snow year, the man made snow kept the mountan open from top to bottom.Although the runs were limited the crowd was small and we never waited to get the lift.I would recomend it to anyone at any level.

Mt. Rose is great for beginners, and no exceptions with the man-made snow. Almost all the green runs were open, with little to no ice and therefore very few surprises. All the staff were helpful, from the rentals to the lifts. This was my second time out at Mt. Rose (the last was in February 2011 when all the lifts/runs were open), and I would definitely go back. The first-timer's package is a no-brainer for beginners who don't need to access any more than the Ponderosa or Galena lifts.

Great Price - but would NOT recommend skiing the slopes right now. The man made snow is an effort, but conditions are lacking. The lift operators and people are REALLY nice, but the snow's just not there right now! I'm from Texas and we only had 1 day to ski - my 11 yo son loved it however... We'll be back next year!

Great place. Snow is lacking this year, but I was able to enjoy the time there.

Bought for my son. Unfortunately only the beginner bunny lift was open, and they decided not to go. He boarded the other two days but condition were very poor due to no snow. Not Mt. Roses fault. I bought the lift ticket knowing this could happen. Planned on going next week but are changing our plans due to no snow.

Man made snow accounts for a very small part of their snow cover. They are open as long as the sun is up. Check the weather and their website for conditions before going out. I just took a friend to the beginner area which was large, man made and the only part open due to conditions. Staff is is above and beyond in being helpful, not just on the slopes.

When I signed up for an intermediate class, they mixed the novice class and the intermediate class, forcing me to do the novice class which I had already done the day before, I had found the novice class too simple and had decided to join the intermediate class, hoping to get more challenging slopes the next day. Since it was a novice class, I had to go on the beginner slopes instead of doing intermediate slopes. The lack of real snow displeased me. Having skied in Banff,Canada and Snowbird, Utah where the instructors were really fun and excellent, I find the Reno instructors talk too much and ski too little during the lessons. I've decided not to go back to Reno.

It was good deal for $41 instead of $56 at the window since we decided at last min (trip was Sat and we bought on Wed). Although the weather wasn't good for enough snow and so less lift opened at Mt Rose, it was still good warm up for 1st run this year. I think Mt rose shall be better if they have more lifts open. For my 1st visit there, it was still quite nice and smooth run with good deal from liftopia. Plus it was so less hassle to deal with when we brought purchase print out to get lift tix.

I go to tahoe every winter, my first ski area is Mt. Rose. The price is right and the high speed six are great. sometimes its sunny, sometimes its stormy, such is the mood of the mountains. Best ski area in Tahoe, my favorite anyway.:{}

If it's your first time, get together and ask local skier for advice while on lift; met up with passholder and had great day; can't beat the snow in May, esp. if you live in Hawaii!

Diamond runs are really more intermediate. Enjoy the easy in and out and laid back atmosphere of the resort.

Shh. Don't tell anyone about how great this mountain is. Let's keep it to ourselves and continue to enjoy the short lift lines, the easy access and the fast chairs leading to great terrain.
