If you have kids, are new, or don't want to spend big $$ this place is great. Snowbasin is small but a great hill to learn on or take young kids. There is some good skiing too to keep you occupied. Night skiing is cheap and almost always empty. I wouldn't plan on spending a whole vacation here is there is actually nothing to do in Sundance and the mountain will get boring but it's a nice place to visit. Scenery is amazing!

Liftopia makes Sundance worth going to with the discounted lift ticket. Go on a fresh snow day or when it hasn't warmed up above mid 30's. This resort gets really icy for night skiing. They don't break up the packed pow often enough.

Ive been there a few times this year. The night skiing has been great because you rarely have to wait to get on the lift. It has been great for my 10 and 7 year old kids. The main recommendation I have is for the rope tow. It would be nice if they had a shuttle of some sort to get beginners to it without having to hike or go up the lift.

Sundance has greatly improved for snowboarders wanting to learn a little bit more without being embarrassed or nervous to try new things. With there new box rails and little jumps Sundance has made great improvements to attract new snowboarders.
I went back for the first time in 4 years and its exactly what was needed. But definitely check weather before heading up to the slopes. My one thing I think should change is lift ticket prices to a more affordable price. With limited terrain the price is pretty expensive.. cheaper lift tickets and cheaper season passes.. maybe try a five or ten day package. Thanks for the great hospitality from all workers.

If it is snowing and the roads are bad, you will be required to have a 4-wheel drive or chains to get to Sundance from Provo Canyon. If you don't have access to either, you can take UTA bus line 880. Check weather conditions on the bad days before you go!
