Mount Snow was committed to make the conditions better than I expected. They blew snow over the 3rd weekend of March through Sunday night. The conditions were very good.

It's Leap Day and as usual Mount Snow does their $29 on the 29th. So I make the 3+ hour drive there and it never disappoints. This is one of my favorite mountains. The blues here are fast and it's a great carving mountain. The runs are wide open and have enough of a mix to enjoy yourself all day! The park is second to none in VT!

Went skiing New Years Day. Purchased ticket and rental pass on line. Extremely easy. I would highly recommend it, you get a savings, and who doesn't like to save a buck. Go to the ticket window first to pick up the lift ticket pass and they give you the rental pass, then go to the rental building. If you go to the rentals they will redirect you to go to the ticket booth which is where you pick up the rental pass. When getting a rental go to the main lodge location they have brand new equipment. We went to lodge on the South Face near Carinthia and guy fitting us informed us this was older equipment and if we wanted a tune up we could go to the main lodge and then he informed us about the new equipment. Can't wait to go back!

also went on coldest day this week 9 Dec, 7 trials open and they were much better than expected, snow making was spot on for each trail and well groomed, it actually got better in afternoon when temps started to fall, the place is awesome with lifts and staff was friendly, best mac and cheese ever had. green runs for novice was above expectations

Great time! I went on one of the coldest days so far...a bit windy but great snow. Top to bottom runs were open so you were able to get in some long runs and really enjoy it. Going mid week is key since no one is there! Only draw back with Mount Snow is the lift ticket system. Still using old stick-on lift tickets. It's very slow process when trying to get on. Regardless it's still one of my favorite places to snowboard at in Vermont!

The slopes to the right side of the mountain (looking up the hill) seem to be less used so the snow stays great all day. Helps to have less direct sun, too. Just build some speed near the bottom to run it out back to the lifts.

Our trip over St. Patrick's Day gave us heavy spring conditions at the bottom and fog at the top, so the bubble six-skier lift was great. Even better the second day with winds the worst of the season. Our last day, Thursday, was still cold, but the blue sky was cloudless and the snow was great. Great way to end our stay.

Was there on Sat, March 07 2015. Mt Snow is my favorite ski resort since it is the closest to my home. Close enough for a day trip. Grooming was excellent, lines to the lifts well managed, although bit too long. Crowd that day was extremely large. Rentals are very well organized and it took us maybe 15 minutes to rent stuff for my 11-year-old. The major draw-back is the main lodge. Way, way too small for the size of the crowd. It took us about 30 minutes to find couple chairs to eat lunch. Food prices are like in the 5-star restaurant and quality definitely isn't 5-star. I definitely recommend Mt Snow if you are ready to handle some discomfort during lunch time.

What an awesome event @ #Mount Snow during the $12 60th Anniversary party. LIFTOPIA is the best thing that could have ever happened for an accomplished skiier who loves to rip it up from top to bottom. I was very impressed with the updates to the lift in "bubble fashion" . Talk about a way to ride up the mountain in comfort and the people were all so friendly. Great job to #Mount Snow and #LIFTOPIA. I am looking forward to future events. Thanks again and keep lifting us off.

When buying a multi day pass, if the conditions are sub par. You will need to decide before 10am. Typically you have an hour after your first run to decide weather or not the conditions are good enough. But if you have a multi day pass you have to decide before 10AM even if your first run is at 9:50AM. The ticket window did not know these rules, and was let know once at Guest Services. Even after the ticket window advised that we have an hour before we need to decide. We wasted about $700 on one run for 9 people on the ski trip. Next time i will be buying one day tickets even if I am staying the weekend... #fineprint

Don't go when it is windy or cold. Just came back and the Grand Summit would not run due to wind and the brand new Bluebird can't run when it is cold. Was told it had something to do with fluids turning to gel. Snow making ability seems limited. Lift lines are very disorganized. Base lodge was not crowded but couldn't find an open table due to people being allowed to leave bags and coolers on and under them. Even had people sitting cross legged on tables. This mountain has potential but for now it seems like they are satisfied putting lipstick on the pig.

I love the trails and going down the mountain is so much fun! I love Bluebird because the bubble when its to windy you put the bubble down and it will block it. BlueBird also opens itself at the end of the lift.

If you want to do a lot of runs at a fast pace with out the trails being crowded hit the north face. They call them black diamonds but they're not bad and there's a smaller and faster lift at the bottom. You have to sacrifice using the bubble but it's for people who want to make the most out of their ski day.

I went on Friday, Dec 12, for the Mount Snow $12 Founders Day special. The line to redeem the ticket I purchased thru Liftopia was 45 minutes long. It got worse - one gentleman told me he waited an hour and 15 minutes. Then you got to wait on line nearly 30 minutes for the Bluebird chair (they were not running the Grand Summit chair, despite huge crowds). So I skied Fallen Timbers on the North Face, where the line was again 30 minutes, because they were not running the other chair. So, after arriving at the mountain at 9:20, at 11:30 I had skied a grand total of 2 runs. Enormous lines to buy tickets, huge lift lines - a Mount Snow disaster. This is not the first time that Mount Snow has had lifts closed while lines build - they often wait until 10 or 11 to open additional lifts on many bust winter weekends. they also close lifts at 3:30, a half hour earlier than everyone else. avoid this place - they are most definitely not very skier friendly.

Went on 12/12/12, $12 lift ticket day. Big crowd, to be expected. The Bluebird was running all day AOK. Unfortunately the Express was not until noon. Skied the Northface. Despite crowd only one of the 2 Northface lifts were operating. Disappointing. Mt. Snow can't control the weather, but they can control the ability to get skiers up the mountain. In this regard they failed..........miserably.

Went mid week and it was empty. the mountain was great. it snowed the entire day we were there. when we arrived there was no snow on the ground by the time we left there was about 8 inches. only about 11 trail were open as it was early season. there was one trail with some rails and one jump that were set up nicely.

Bought 2 tickets for St. Patty's day. The price was right for $19 a piece. Unfortunately, the lift lines were very long and the Bluebird lift was not running that day, making the wait even longer. The North Face section of the mountain was absolutely awesome! My friend and I did several runs in this area to avoid having to wait for the lift lines at the base. However, the conditions were very icy and I fell on the way down to the base. I ended up breaking my shoulder bone and tearing the ligaments in both thumbs. The ski patrol and the staff at the medical clinic were very nice. The Mt. Snow clinic did not accept my health insurance but they did their best to make me as comfortable as possible for the 2 hour drive to a MA hospital. If it wasn't for my injury, I'm sure we would have had a great day! You cannot beat the price!

Spent Monday March 24th on the mountain with my (beginner/intermediate) wife .... NO lift lines (as you might expect for a non-holiday Monday) .. LOVED the bubble lift (keeps the wind at bay and you warm in 15F to 20F temps) ... LOADS of long blue runs .... conditions were good even tho' the surface was firm with some icy spots ... will definitely go back ....

March 23: Where we skied, the snow was excellent (everything except North Face and Sunny Brook) My only complaint is lack of signage on Milk Way (southside) and River Run (north) indicating those trails don't return to the base. Excellent mountain for beginners and intermediatesand especially terrainists Skip the Bluebird lines and get in more runs via the non-bubble lifts

Avoid Mt Snow on St. Patrick's Day. Got there before the lifts started. By the third run, there was a 20 minute wait to get back up. Trails ranged from tolerable to "are you kidding me" icy. Guess that's why I only skied at Mt Snow 3 times in fifteen years.

I was at Mt Snow for St. Paddies day and had a great time. Mt. Snow covers three sides of the mountain and depending on which way the wind is blowing you can usually find a side that has significantly less wind on the lift. As far as conditions it is difficult to get them right after Saturday was spring skiing weather and Sunday Monday were Jan. Feb. temperatures. I skied Magic on Sunday and Mt. Snow on Monday and the conditions on Monday were epic in comparison. All you had to do is look for the snow on the trail to turn in there was plenty. Not to say there wasn't any ice.

Awesome time with 8 inches of powder on top of very little ice that got created during last weekends Rain. The snow in the woods was powder/ice/powder and great conditions on the north face. good amount of snow pack that kept the twigs and sticks at bay. Go to the second blinking light to get to the main parking lots. Paid $50 on liftopia for midweek.

The rental equipment at Mount Snow is terrible quality and borderline dangerous. Went skiing with my friend who got the rental and the skis were so sharp that he ended up gashing his leg open when he fell (had to get several stitches). I'd definitely recommend renting off-mountain if you decide to visit this mountain.

Liftopia discount was great and so is Mt. Snow. Though, it poured rain one day of my 5 day ticket. When I went back the following day to see if I could get a credit for the rainy day, they said that I needed to go to the mountain on the bad ski day, as if I was going to ski, in order for them to give me a credit. Lesson learned!

Skier's right on Nitro is a hidden spot for some quality snow. All the features are in the middle of the slope. Keep right of the features and you will have fresh lines well into the afternoon. Watch for riders hitting the side of the kickers and be courteous of the others, remember it is the terrain park. Always a good time at Mount Snow and always top notch snow conditions.

Hadn't been to Mount Snow for 5 years. Back then I thought it was boring and not very scenic, being mostly intermediate cruisers with hardly any bumps or other interesting alternatives. This time I found the mountain MUCH IMPROVED with lots of bumps and scenic trails through woods while retaining a wide choice of easier groomed trails for people who prefer them. I will definitely come again.

If you are going on the weekend, skip the bluebird express lift because the lines can be long. A hundred feet away is the uncovered 4 person lift that services the summit, which is equally as fast as the bluebird, albeit a little colder and windier but it has a fraction of the line that the bluebird does. With the uncovered lift, I never had to wait more than a few minutes to get on (half the time I didn't even have to wait) and I was able to get a ton of runs in even on a fairly busy weekend day.

Overall, not a bad mountain and we had a lot of fun. Killington is a little better, but further drive for us from PA. We stayed at Bear Crossing, so we could ski right back to condo if we wanted. The only negative thing I can say about Mt.Snow is about the bartender, who had a pony tail but has cut it this year (2013). Completely rude and lazy. We'd be standing DIRECTLY in front of him, money in hand, and he would ignore us. And we're not a bunch of young punks.

Bluebird Express was a nice lift but I prefer gondolas! Due to lack of snow there wasn't much change in terrain - even on black diamond runs. My husband and I arrived on March 10th and found the manmade snow to be ok but a lot of trails were super icy. Compared to the other mountains we've been to this year, I would say Mt Snow lacks in lift/trail signage and the ski/boarding etiquette. People will plow you right over and not think twice about it – people also pulled off the trails in the worst locations causing you to stop dead in your tracks (on far less than perfect conditions this is dangerous!) Not cool! We decided that our second day of skiing/boarding was going to involve their terrain park (Corinthia)…this MUST be the draw to this mountain. The park is incredible. Overall, unless I’m feeling the need for a terrain park I don’t think we’ll be back to Mt Snow. The whole environment lacked FUN and thrills…it was just an “ok” couple days. For short trips from MA – I’ll see you at Loon!

Loved it! Parking and lodge locations are not very intuitive from the street, but easy enough to get to the right place. Staff was friendly, lines were non-existant, and trails were a blast! Uncles was absolutely my favorite. Some of the runs were not open because of the winter we've had so far, but they made enough snow to make the day well worth the trip. Had first tracks on some runs. Can't wait to go back!

We love Mount Snow! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful this trip- I used the repair shop and was pleasantly surprised by their help. Also I had to use the help of the mountain staff to locate my son and he was reunited with me within 10 minutes. They were very helpful and supportive and definitely competent. All the people running the lifts were also very friendly. I would definitely come again.

went last week - good deal on the ticket and Blue Bird chair is super smooth, clean and "bubbly" - but due to lack of natural snow the cross trails/glades that connect the more vertical trails were closed :( - so basically skied the same few trails all day. Cuzzin's pub has nice atmosphere and views of the hill, reasonably priced beer on tap...

The Blue bird lift is so wonderful. Having the blue bubble to block the wind just makes skiing more fun! No more freezing on the lifts! You can stay out longer and enjoy the slopes. This was the best improvement ever. Congratulations Mount Snow, for knowing what skiers want and delivering!

Can never go wrong with the north face. Absolutely never has a line for the lift, even presidents weekend. They leave usually half or more of the trails ungroomed, and Ripcord (the only double diamond) is one of the steepest headwalls in the east. Many of the single diamond trails on the north face, if placed at other mountains would be considered double diamonds.

Bluebird lift is awesome.....if sunny, you can open shield. Bar automatically rises before you get off....

Get an early start and get parking and no lift lines.....After 9 am (even on a weekday), the lots can really fill up fast.....

Mt. Snow was packed for reggie fest. A lot of ice moguls that weren't that great, i wish there was more pow pow! Waffle hut is amazing!

Free bag check rocks. New chair lift coming with a wind shield. Move with the sun. Last 2 weekend were most righteous. East coast skiing is definitely west coast skiing. Skinny long sticks with killer edges as opposed to wide and rockered super long.

Overall decent mountain for intermediate skiers, north side is a good challenge... icy this time of year unless you have a warm day. Great Snowboard park! Pretty mellow place in the Spring.

Went up mid-week end of season and had the place just about to ourselves (brother and son). Amazed that so late in the season that most of the trails were open. We did two days worth of skiing in one day- Awesome

It was so crowded. I hope that along with the additional lift capacity next year, that Mount Snow also adds some additional runs. Otherwise its just going to be even more of a mob.

What an amazing mountain! Came up with a bunch of friends for St. Patty's Day and enjoyed the ticket price and slopes. PERFECT Spring riding conditions! The lifts were crowded, but it was to be expected with the holiday. Highlight of the trip was Carinthia. In all my years of snowboarding, I have never come across such a nice terrain park. A whole mountain dedicated to parks?! INSANE! I will definitely be returning to hit up all the goodness Mt. Snow has to offer!

Great place to ski, except Saturdays - too many bus/tours. The trails, slopes, snow making & grooming are fantastic. The staff are 1st rate, always helpful and you can't beat the FREE bag check area. Good pizza, burittos & beer in the base lodge. Been coming here for 25 years+ ...

Had great time! My 8 yr old son conquered Olympic (Black Diamond Run) and loved it. Conditions were good for spring skiing. Can't wait for the new bubble chair. I like the fact that boarders have their own mountain area to play on. Makes family skiing more relaxing and safe... See you there next year!!!!!

It rained/iced the 2 days we rode there, but we had the park to ourselves. Nicely maintained and it held up to the crappy weather. Love it there, relaxing and still challenging. I go every year at least once - from NY.

Carinthia is THE PLACE to be if you snowboard.

Mt' hit by freak ice storm the other day and only 3 lifts and about 6 trails open. Very limiting. Management should have comped patrons with some sort of voucher, nothing big but acknowledging how poor a product they offered that day. Would have made a nice impression. Thanks.

I love this mountain. I learned to snowboard here and the instructors were super helpful and very patient. There's many different trails on different parts of the mountain that you can try depending on your skill level. The North Face is great for Advanced, while the Main Face provides a number of blues and greens with varying difficulties. Also, Carinthia - a snowboard park - is perfect for those that want to pull a few tricks.

I agreethat there are many out of controll skiiers and snowboarders at Mt. Snow, but if you take the time to learn the mountain, you will find uncrowded slopes. Perfect for family skiing trips. The entire mountain is skiable for almost every level.

Great Mountain if you love to ride glades and powder but there are a lot better places in VT to go for groomed trails. Not too difficult of a mountain so good place for beginners. Overall not a bad place but wouldn't go back.

This is one awesome place. Been going since I was 4, I'm 14 now. It has great family time, and with all the snowmaking, relatively fast service, it's worth it. Best place eVeR~

This place is my favorite. They have really nice long, relaxing slopes for people like me (I am not an expert).
