Hidden Valley Reviews & Tips (4)
I've skied both 7S and HV many times. I enjoy skiing and not the bar, my family and I choose HV.
Better value and I get more ski runs in!

I taught at 7 springs many years ago. better terrain, maybe, basically two walls of slopes on front and northface; but their snowmaking technology has not kept up with HV; when temperatures are marginal, head to HV - better snowmaking (TechnoAlpin) and grooming.

Having experienced skiing in California's Sierra Nevada mountains (ie:: Lake Tahoe), I can only say that returning to the East Coast is hardly exciting. That being said, if you are looking for an enjoyable time on the slopes, Hidden Valley is a much more prudent choice than Seven Springs, as the crowds are lighter for the amount of skiable terrain and lifts PLUS you don't have to worry about as many stupid, STUPID DRUNKS at Hidden Valley. While the runs are more limited and not a great challenge, HV is a much, much better place to relax and enjoy the mountain, especially for beginner/intermediate skiers and families.
