Ski and rider tips for Snow Summit
Snow Summit is a great family resort. My kids are advanced beginning skiiers and I'm an intermediate, and yet we can all ski together. The "Family Park" area is a favorite with it's jumps. Yet, there's enough action for the advanced skiier as well. Trails are long and the view from the summit of the Lake is awesome. The ride from L.A. is only 2 hours but yet in bad weather and one, twisting mountain road, it can take a lot longer. (Don't forget your chains!) The town itself is very laid back--nothing fancy. No four-star resorts here. Most people stay in rented houses or small, cheap motels.
