Located in north Tahoe area in California is Donner Ski Ranch, a ski resort with 8 lifts and 53 trails on 505 acres. The slopes are great for intermediates (50%) that love long open trails and beginners (25%). More advanced skiers will find trails branching off of the blue ridge trails. Donner Ski Ranch offers slopeside lodging, lessons, rentals, tubing,... and simple skiing. I have grown up skiing at Donner Ski Ranch and i love it. Inexpensive and nearby- an all around great resort!

My four sons learned to ski and then later snowboard through lessons at Donner Ski Ranch and it was very inexpensive and it has a great family atmosphere! It is still a great value for the cost!

If you have kids just learning to ski this is the best place to be. I have two boys they both learned to ski at doner ski ranch.

i have been to donner several times in the last four years and it is great and is also great for begginers
