Heavenly Reviews & Tips (7)

I love Heavenly. I always have a great experience when I'm here. Yes, it's true that everything is expensive so prepare ahead of it of time. I hear a lot of people complaining here. Complainers are always going to complain to ruin other people's day just they can feel good about their miserable, broke @$$ life. If it's too expensive, go to another small cheap resort. Problem solved..!!! My advice is buy the season pass & go often to make it worth it. If u can afford that, then you can afford to play on the best resort Tahoe has to offers. Don't listen to the Nay-Sayers.!!!

Some years back you could get a discount day ticket at Heavenly for twenty bucks. Given the lift prices, the cost for food and drinks on the mountain, the worthless staff and all the out of town tourists, I stopped skiing here. It is not worth the expense. Unless you ski off-trail the slopes are filled with Bozos. As such I'll take my business elsewhere. I will never again ski here. I hope that all the blood sucking leeches who now own this place will have a short miserable life and that in the future all will go back to normal.

Many 5/7 day folks don't use their allotted daily tix. Some have detailed bumf about only person named on ticket but most don't. Wednesday and Thursday are good days to talk with folks leaving in the morning. Been skiing Heavenly since 1960.....gotta be a love/hate thang. :) Snow can be sparse. Lifts are well maintained and there are 30+? Kinda partial to gunbarrel, dropping off cornices on higher Cal/Nev trail. If there is coverage, wind is under 30mph and you didn't pay 10 for meager burger and 10 for draft beer.....Heavenly is awesome. To others: February will be coldest month and (pray for rain/snow in Calif) best snow conditions. The place has runs that boggle world class skiers both on/off piste. Great place if weather and snow making are playing nice.

Its true. Heavenly can be expensive!! If you're a flapper, and just bring your lunch money. I personally recommend having a season pass, and bring a bag lunch ( bagel, cream cheese, and lunch meat ) it will survive when you do a header on the snow. Also, I like to stay close to Stateline, as lodging is affordable especially mid week and you are within walking distance to the Gondola, Casinos, and Raleys supermarket , plus other dining options.

Awesome condo looking over the lake and the boulder lift. Too bad that more than half the runs and lifts are closed because of he wind. Been here 4 days and they never open half this place. This truly. Is the windiest place in the world. No idea why they put a ski resort here. Go to kirkwood or save your$$

if you arent an advanced skiier or border dont come. you wont like it and you will think its a waste of your money. the backcountry is amazing if you know where to go and is even better if you are willing to hike a little bit.
