Northstar at Tahoe Reviews & Tips (8)
Don't go. They are hurting our sport due to the high prices. Skiing is not a growth industry and these "vail" elites would rather not make it affordable. Used to love going there, but not at these prices. People need to know there are no deals to be had at Northstar

My advice for Matt, is to buy a Local Pass for $400. It paid for itself on one trip to Vail this year, and Heavenly, Kirkwood, and North Star were all gravy.
Backside of Northstar in the early afternoon (Burnout) was the bomb.
Long, empty run with great texture.
Northstar had the best snow coverage and texture the the other two resorts for the week of Feb 24.

Northstar is great--season pass is the way to go if you are able to ski more than 5 or 6 days. Especially now that Vail Resorts has aquired Kirkwood. I have myself, my husband, and 5 kids on the mountain and like someone mentioned before, the trails are well marked and there are great runs for all levels. Everything seems easy to get to. We will definately be buying passes again next year.

Amazing place for families! Kids ski school is terrific and the kids loved it...plus, my husband and I loved all levels of skiing available!

I love this place! Bought 3 lessons but only did 1.5 and skiing blues everywhere! No resort has better customer service! We did Squaw last wkend and Hevenly the wkend prior, neither compare! It may be pricey but at least they have signs for each trail so you can't get lost..... It's safe and elegant!

I used to work there......$92 for 238 acres is highway robbery. Am assuming negative comments won't be published. Felt I must try to share though.
