Tahoe Donner Reviews & Tips (7)

When I saw the trail map online it looked quite good, so I bought 2 day tix for myself and my kids ( intermediate). Well, upon first look we knew it was too small and we'd be soon bored, so we doubled up on tix and went to Boreal instead. We stayed there for the second day for we were tired and wanted to take it easy, so it worked out quite well. My energy was low and I actually enjoyed the back runs through the forest (a pleasant surprise), and I gifted my extra tix (all printed for the second day) to a grateful family, so nothing was lost (only some good karma earned :) I think the place is really lovely for families with smaller kids and beginners

If you are just learning or a beginner Tahoe Donner is the perfect place to go. I would highly recommend starting out at Tahoe Donner and then venturing out to another resort like Diamond Peak to mix things up :)

Great mountain to reacquaint with downhill skiing. It is quaint with wide open groomed trails. Never waited in line for either of the 2 lifts. Great day at a bargain price. Definitely would come here again!

Great place for beginners. A looong 1mile green. Lots of broad blues, and a few short blacks.

Tahoe Donner is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard. Both my kids took beginner snowboarding lessons there and had a great time. Vry small place though and probably not satisfying for anyone above mid-intermediate.

This is the best place for me to learn, practice and get in enough time to benefit me... The lifts aren't always over loaded. The slopes are great and not crowded with a bunch of hot, cracker-jack skiers almost running you over... I will return there from Texas anytime I can... Willie

Tahoe Donner is different than Donner Ski Ranch. Tahoe Donner is a very small mountain but great for beginners. There are only two ski lifts.
