Buttermilk Trail Map
Buttermilk is the easiest of the Aspen resorts, which can be a nice break from the intensity of the other resorts. A great learning mountain, Buttermilk has 35% easy runs, 39% intermediate, and 26% advanced. In addition to having great beginner terrain, the resort has a great ski and snowboard school. The mountain caters especially to snowboarders, and freestyle lovers will find a place at Buttermilk, which boasts the world’s longest terrain park. The freestyle terrain has been recognized as some of the best in the world. Buttermilk has consistently hosted the Winter X Games since 2002. For the hardest freeride terrain on the mountain, take the Upper Tiehack chairlift to the East summit and ride the Tiehack Parkway to a suitable trail or glade. Overall, Buttermilk is the Aspen center for beginners and freestyle snowboarders.
