Banff Mt Norquay Reviews & Tips (4)
Spring skiing is awesome there as the temperatures are much warmer and everything is covered in snow. Of course depth of base is key to good skiing at any resort.

We skied at Sunshine and Lake Louise for two days each and one day at Mt. Norquay in last week of December 2010. The weather was mild during the first three days and the snow was OK. There were many places where rocks were exposed. The last two days and after some fresh snow was bitterly cold with the temperature at -24C at the base of the mountain! If you go, don't spend any time in Mt. Norquay. It has only a few runs.
Lake Louise is beautiful, and I like to go back and see it in summer time.

we visited Banff in February and it was freezing! Also did not like that you had to drive each day to ski- no ski in/ski out lodging. We have found Fernie Alpine Resort to be the best for ski in/ski out lodging and the most snow in the Canadian Rockies!
