Owl's Head Reviews & Tips (3)
We have been skiing there on and off for 30 years or so. Everyone stops for the view from Lilly's Leap. It is the best I've ever seen in for than 50 years on the slopes.

Get there early so you can enjoy the day! It's a beautiful mountain with wide runs that are perfect for beginners. The best thing about this mountain is that you don't spend most of your time waiting for the lifts ... you get in more runs per hour than you do at any other mountain. I went with two skiers who are much more experienced and they had nothing to but good things to say of the intermediate and expert runs. This mountain really gives you the most bang for the buck, even though it closes at 4:00. There's room for a lot of improvement, though. The cafeteria needs microwave ovens ... although the food is good and less expensive than elsewhere, they don't offer very many "healthy" choices. The bathrooms and lifts need major facelifts and the mountain needs to be groomed more often when the snow starts flying. Do any of these things detract from the pleasure of skiing Owl's Head? No! This jewel shines despite the few drawbacks!!

Owl's Head is the best kept secret in Quebec - a big mountain with spectacular views of Lake Memphremagog at a very reasonable price. Only 1.5 hours from Montreal, Owl's Head is old-school skiing - no blaring music, wicked glade runs, few shredders and never any lineups.
