Kimberley Reviews & Tips (6)

Whilst there has been no new at Kimberley, if you stay high up the trails are sufficient in snow to enjoy skiing, but can be icy in the mornings. Don't go any lower down than the base of the Easter Chair though. Main is OK at the top, but from mid-height downward, Main is Spring sugar-snow getting very 'choppy' at the Blue Section. The sun is breaking through though, so at least you'll get a tan!

January 16th, 2015. They are a little snow challenged right now like a lot of places, but they groom a lot every night to make it decent for all ability levels. It's a great family type area with great staff.

Easter chair has some great runs. Start there in the morning and avoid the "front" side to get in the best skiing.

What an awesome place!! I never would've known it existed except for my trip to Fernie and I found out I could use the same lift ticket and check out a whole other mountain! The snow when we went was really good, and it was sunny and a mild temperature. I'm an intermediate skier and I fell in love with the Kootenay Rockies. Quaint town, you can stay on the hill (can't remember what the hotel was called) in like a 5* lodge for the price of a 3* anywhere else. Hot tub and pool with some smokehouse restaurant underneath! You can find tons of blacks on the back too. Get a ticket to Fernie and it works at Kimberley too and they are so close together! The town is German, not sure why, but it's kind of cool and unique!

Tiny terrain parks like all of RCR (Kicking Horse, Fernie, Nakiska) without any jumps!! Oh and you have to buy a pass to get in, what a rip! Decent hill but not very challenging and can get heavy wet snow.
