Panorama Mountain rises a full 4,000 vertical feet above the a ski in, ski out village, but it's not until you slide off the Summit Quad that the ture scale of the terrain becomes apparent. All around, as far as the eye can see, are snow smothered peaks including the world-famous canadian Rockies. Below are trails for skiers and riders... of all abilities. You can carve up perfect corduroy on a World Cup track or take on the backcountry style lines of Taynton Bowl. New at Panorama this year is night skiing on the Mile One Quad, every night of the ski season. A full mile of skiing under the lights. Choose your line and point your board downhill, all the snow is missing is your tracks. Read more

Reviews & Tips (9)
I've skied at Pano for several years, first as a racer, and now as a free skier. I like how the hill has developed with newer quicker chairs, and more terrain. There is a good amount of terrain for all abilities.
The one downside I experienced during this trip is when i redeemed my passes, they were both given to me at the same time, and scanned shortly thereafter at the sunbird chair. Both tickets read that they expired 01/07/2011. So on the second day I went in and asked about this, and both passes showed as being scanned on 01/07/2011, and that i was supposed to separate the passes to use one the second day. Apparently they expire upon completion of the day. So I was accused of being dishonest, by sharing a pass with a friend, and trying to get a free pass for day 2. I was less than pleased with this accusation. I received a discounted pass, but was given a verbal warning.

Just skiied Pano for the last 4 days and the conditions were perfect! No lift lines, sun, soft snow, family, a couple powder turns in the secret spots. The addition of skiing to 9pm is great and the beer is always COLD.
Enjoy

Panorama is a really nice resort, snow is great, and I really can't complain about the amount/speed of lifts. If you go looking for powder closer to spring when there is less snow and you aren't willing/able to take the double-blacks, you just may be out of luck (I went the first week of March, and didn't find any). There are lots of nice narrow twisty trails through the bush though! And the food at the food court is very reasonably priced!

Lots of nice bump runs. Plenty of vertical. Check out R K Heli Ski. We had the absolute perfect ski day on a 1 day heli ski trip with them.

Just spent an amazing few days skiing at Panorama - they have a fantastic Mountain Friends programme and we skied quite a few sessions with them - a great way of meeting up with other skiers of the same level and learning the special places that locals find to suit the conditions! Even though they can't take you into double diamond runs they found fab glade skiing, bumps and steeps!

We have been skiing in the invemere area for over 20 years now, just rediscovered Panorama in the past couple of years, when the snow is good it is a great hill, fast chairs and long runs with a variety for every skier.

It's true that Pano does not get as much snow as some of it's neighbors (i.e. Kicking Horse, Fernie.) However, when it does get snow it's an amazing ski hill. I skied from open to close on Jan 13/14 and it was epic as they had more than 50cm of snow in 72hrs! Stayed in a Riverbend townhome with High Country Properties which is a private vacation rental company. Accommodation was only steps from gondola and we could walk to everything in the village!

Panorama is nice but does not get much natural snow. Good base area and lodging. We tried Panorama and Fernie on our last visit. We now will return to Fernie as it offers ski in/ski out lodging and lots of snow- the brochure says over 29 feet a year. During our trip we got 3 feet!
