Horseshoe Resort Reviews & Tips (8)

Liftopia is way to go for tickets. Horseshoe itself has not changed in many years. Runs are great and we had fabulous conditions. I do find some of the chairlifts dated and a little scary. The three man on the far side has no arm rests and I was worried about my youngest and it is very steep but the runs were worth the ride. The middle chair was very slow. To get onto "Park" there was an additional $10 fee but if you go more than once worth it as it is for the season. I would suggest bringing out own food not just because of cost. We had hamburgers that felt they had been cooked elsewhere and reheated. Cannot see where they cook them, not like Snow Valley where you can see the food being prepared (prefer that). The staff were friendly inside and out!

Great snowboard cross course and great snowboard and ski cross March Break camp at an unbelievably low price and Jake Holden (Canadian Olympian) is coaching the Snowboard Camp! The weather has been great and it's not very busy this week.

Honestly, it was great. We had a mixed group of skiers/snowboarders of all levels, and - sorry for repeating myself - it was great. There are slopes for everyone that would be fun and/or challenging. Not the super pro's, probably - but we were there for the company and the good times, not for practice. Having found Liftopia and countless deals on tickets was like finding Grail, but better in a sense. We went tubing the following day, which ended the weekend (and the hangover) quite nicely. To sum up, thank you Liftopia - and a friendly advise to anyone like us choosing a Mountain - go to Horseshoe! :)

Great for families. Powder was awesome this weekend. Hot chocolates are best from the downstairs cafe, you get whipped cream (upstairs they're plain!). Really wasn't busy, didn't have to wait long in lines. With a Glen Eden seasons pass you do get discounted tickets though that are cheaper than liftopia ($21 per day for kids, $31 for adults, Canadian).

Love Horseshoe. I go back time and time again. Great family ski hill. I stay away from the main hill but that's just my personal preference. Great lessons; both of my boys took lessons here over the years. Friendly lift attendants. My husband and son were picked out of the lift line for their passes to be inspected, that's the first time that has ever happened. We'll be back in a few weeks I'm sure.

Loooove Horseshoe....visited numerous times and will continue to... familiar with the runs (good if you are a creature of habit!); the days visited it was minus 10, minus 24, minus 6; even in the deep freeze the conditions were still decent - powder, smoooooth, patches of ice (expected) and the sun helped ALOT. The best time to be on the night....bright lights, no glare, no people!!! Stayed out from 8 to 9:50 p.m. - 2 snowboarders and a handful of skiers....ahhh the peace...the quiet. As soon as you're done your run you're back on the lift again....quick quick. More runs in at night than you could evaaaa wish for during the day. Great friendly staff to assist in chair lift challenges. And always a smile no matter how cold. Thanks Horseshoe! See ya soon.
