Mont Orford Reviews & Tips (5)

Loved Mont Orford. Great place for my wife and three kids to have a great ski vacation. I bought our tickets online through liftopia for the five of us for two days at $416. This was advertised as a discounted rate. When we got to the ticket booth to exchange the printed copy for tickets, I was told that there was a family discount for march break and the total would have been $250. Using liftopia in advance was a $166 mistake!

Mont Orford is an easy drive from the Boston area; we even had a couple inches of fresh snow to enjoy! It was cold and windy the day we visited, but still a lot of fun. The price, especially through Liftopia is really reasonable! There was a variety of terrain, some high speed lifts, overall a nice surprise that doesn't get talked about much in New England! I look forward to returning during a season where the northeast has more snow!

Mont Orford is a fabulous place that my family along with several others, visit every winter break. The prices are fabulous......much less than N.Y. or Vermont skiing. It is not far to drive from the N.Y. metro area and the French speaking town of Magog is so very charming. There is no to little wait for the lifts and the runs are very well maintained with a good variety of levels. The lodge is very nice with good food and the people are very friendly. Mont Orford is a hidden gem that should not be missed!

We went as a group of 16 with a wide variety of skill and there was something for everyone and we had a great time. Plenty of selection. The snow and conditions were awesome with almost no waiting. I would go again in a heart beat.

This was an awesome trip, and the best rate I could find anywhere for a lift ticket. We only did the easier runs, which were very long and satisfying, with an abundance of powder and varying terrain which gave you some challenges over a short distance, then a chance to rest as you continued to travel, and then some challenges again. We were traveling with my wife, who is only a recent skier, and my son who is a ski racer. They both enjoyed the same run, by just approaching it in a different way. The main lift was great - it was very easy to mount and dismount for everyone, so the lift never stopped. The same cable carries both chairs and gondolas, which we made use of on the second day when the weather was more blustery. The height was awe inspiring for anyone used to Ontario skiing, and a real eye opener. I think there were a lot of people at the resort, but you couldn't really tell, as everyone was spread out and there was never a line for the lift. I told the kids that we could come back any weekend to ski there - so we definitely would go again.
