HIKING WARNING! There are many inherent and other risks involved in the sport of hiking, including but not limited to: the unevenness of the hiking surface, with steep, slippery, overgrown conditions which may hide natural and man-made objects.

Be aware that even minor injuries can become life-threatening emergencies when they occur away from rescue personnel or when hiking alone. The trails are not patrolled and it takes a great deal of time for rescue personnel to locate, reach and evacuate an injured hiker.
